I worked at Dollar Tree full-time

    Pros

Bonus potential monthly. That's about it!

    Cons

Always short handed die to labor cuts. The work load of stock is overwhelming!!! Spent a lot of hours in store trying to accomplish all of the company goals. Just not a fun place to work. VERY STRESSFUL!!

    Advice to Management

Staff stores by giving enough labor to get all the task completed daily.

    Cons

This company works you to death, have to work 6 days a week then on your day off employees are always calling for any little don't give enough hours for employees, My wife use to like shopping at dollar tree now that she see's how bad this company is she doesn't even want to step on foot again in a dollar tree store. I do not recommend any one to work for this company

I worked at Dollar Tree full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Zero good things at all

    Cons

Did not pay me my last week of pay. Did not pay bonus that was owed for two months. Company does not care about its managers.

    Advice to Management

Help with taking time off if something serious happens. Do not give out numbers to home office if you don't know the answer to a question.

Be more considerate to your employees.

I have been working at Dollar Tree full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Monthly bonus opportunities if you beat LY sales

    Cons

    No payroll
    Low pay
Did I mention no payroll? Worked like a slave with one cashier in the building besides you and that's if you're lucky. If you're a high volume store you might as well accept a trashy store. Because you will live on a register. No matter how determined you are there is literally no time to do anything besides ring up customers.

    Advice to Management

Give payroll to support traffic or lower your expectations. Pay is well below other retail salaries. Hands down worst job I've ever had.

    Cons

-Not enough workers at store so you have to deal with the entire store along with
     a manager
    -Low Pay
-Only work at a Dollar Tree as a last resort job because there are better places to work at

    Advice to Management

    Hire more people!!!

Great customers, good life insurance benefits, and you're going to need it.

    Cons

Over worked/ under paid. Future back pains, over 60% of the people who worked for Dollar Tree had a stroke.

    Advice to Management

Management is the ones who either had a stroke or has severe back pains

I worked at Dollar Tree full-time

    Pros

    Meeting a lot of people.

    Cons

Full time cashier averages 14 hours weekly. If store is overstaffed you are sent home 30-45 minutes after clocking in. Least seniority, first to go. Manager only counts safe. Discrepancy charged to employee, and pockets safe overage.

    Advice to Management

Hire better managers. Give full time employees 40 hours, and clearly specify before hire. Stock and trucks personnel should do those jobs. Cashier shouldn't have to work unloading, stocking, cleaning store. Utilize more cashiers when line is longer than 4 people.
