I have been working at Dollar Tree part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great company to work for if you are a student or retired.

    Cons

    Low pay. High work load.

    Advice to Management

I've worked in this company for 6 years. I'm praised for the amount of work I do. Have never been reprimanded for any reason. I've put it every possible effort to advance within my company. I was offered a promotion and new position. The pay raise they offered was so microscopic, despite my accomplishments within the company. They offered $1.25 more. It was an insult. After 6 years and only making $10.25 as it is. There is no incentive to to do a good job or even stay with the company. The bonuses are small as well. If youre eligible for them. Now that the company removed direct orders, they are even smaller.

I worked at Dollar Tree full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Monthly Bonuses if you meet sales goals, one close per week, it is very easy to move up because they are always desperate for management

    Cons

Not enough payroll to successfully stock your store, they pay stockers and cashiers min. Wage so it is hard to keep good workers zero work/life balance no recognition when doing well only when things are going wrong. Amount of stress is huge.

    Advice to Management

Figure out a way to get work/life balance so everything doesn't get put all on store manager. Pay lower associates better so we can keep good workers instead of losing them to other companies.
