I have been working at DollarDays International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

DollarDays is a small but growing company - with a new direction, there seems to be a lot of momentum. There's been a lot of work done over the past few years to bring good people who want to see the business grow - after some rough years there's a really strong company culture in place. The new office space is a huge improvement!

The company also supports a lot of non-profit organizations - which can be very satisfying & fulfilling.

    Cons

The systems that the company uses are outdated - there's been an effort lately to improve them but they do cause a lot of extra/manual work. There was also a rocky leadership transition earlier this year which wasn't handled very well which caused a lot of distractions...but as of late the company does seem to be doing a better job communicating to employees.

    Pros

Interesting platform. Office location is nice.

    Cons

Owner and several managers are a joke very bad communication the I know it all mentality ends up burning vendors employees and customers to the point they leave. Stay far away from this place Marc Joseph does not care about you he just wants you making money for his pocket.

    Advice to Management

Grow up. Your people are your asset.

    Pros

There are no pros to working here.

    Cons

Self-absorbed upper management, treat and pay sales team horribly while they line their own pockets. They hire criminals.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees that do all of the work better. Be less of a dictatorship and listen to your employees. Adjust your pricing to non-profits and stop soaking them or they will eventually figure out they can go direct to the vendor and not pay your high mark-up. CEO needs to pay attention and clean house as his management team appears to barely work 25 hours a week and take big bonus payout for doing nothing.

    Pros

DollarDays is a wonderful place to work. There are endless opportunities for growth and advancement. The company and upper management truly cares for the success of every individual. From operations and merchandising, to sales and service - every single department works together towards a common goal.

    Cons

Dated office and hardware, soon to be updated in 2017!

    Advice to Management

Need more one on one and interdepartmental training. Would also like to see opportunities for out of office training/education.

    Pros

What an improvement in my time with the company! The metamorphosis began with management focusing on employee growth within every department. The culture has transformed into a creative and fun environment to be a part of everyday!

The sales team is flooded with so many great opportunities provided by leadership and organic growth that it is hard to leave! Salesforce is being brought to sales to improve communication and client relations. I feel privileged to be a part of the upturn and excited for the increasing successes with sales.

    Cons

There are opportunities for improvements to the current systems but leadership is bringing on new tools and programs to better the present processes.

    Advice to Management

Stay the path you are on and remain focused on promoting a company culture of success!

I worked at DollarDays International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Dollar days doesnot support their leaders. Contractors lie and they are supported. Additionally there are NO members of leadership of color. Basically.... A horrible place to work.

    Cons

    The above are the cons.....
There were absolutely NOOOOO pros working there at all. Actually they deserve a minus 10....and no stars at all.

    Advice to Management

Learn to support your leaders. Not the angery contractors.

    Pros

Flexible, casual environment. Open to new ideas.

    Cons

Lack of leadership leaves employees either without direction or receiving contradictory direction from different players. Would be a successful company if they had leadership and a growth plan.

    Ghetto office.

    Advice to Management

    Get a plan.
