    Cons

It's always going to be pay. Could be DE, or it could be the market.

    Pros

What I want you all to know is that Homes.com is a great company with a lot of opportunity for
advancement. They really treat you with love and respect, something most companies don’t do these
    days.

    Cons

There is none...I work for a great company

    Advice to Management

I started my career with Homes.com April 27th of 2015 under the management of Zack Patterson. Prior to this Inside Sales position I worked in call centers for over ten plus years doing inbound sales. Just like
some of you newer sales reps I was very confused and unsure in my new roll with Homes.com. But after one solid month on the floor I took off like a rocket and became a consistent top producer every single month. Now not only am I still a top rep. I now work from home and just got a promotion to Regional Sale Executive only being with the company 15 months.

    Pros

Decent medical benefits. Go people to with that are on your own level.

    Cons

To many high priced Managers who never get new products ready on time. Lack of vision by top of the company. Very small raises, work way past 40 hours but they make you doctor your time card to only show 40 hours.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your people

    Cons

Management forces features instead of fixing code. We spend more time fixing bugs because there is not time to fix the actual cause or tech debt.

    Advice to Management

Cold fusion is dead and it needs to be prioritized to be removed.

    Pros

    Good company for upward movement.

    Cons

Pay scale is one of lowest in Virginia and the country for all levels of employment.
Medical benefits are a pain. Way too expensive for out of pocket, and no copay which makes out of pocket even more cost.y

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the input of your employees and make changes to be more competitive salary wise.

I have been working at Dominion Enterprises full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Sales can be very demanding and monotonous work, so its not for everyone one. But Dominion Enterprises is made of several parts, one of the bigger pieces being IT.

I've been with the company in the IT department for over 11 years now. Dominion Enterprises is separated into several businesses, each with their own way of running their company. I've worked for BoatTrader, CycleTrader, & RV Trader so I can only speak to those divisions.

When I first started with the company the direction was very much driven by Sales. The company is on the pendulum to become more tech driven. While there is still a lot of focus on Sales revenue, IT has become more empowered to make product decisions and help drive the direction of the business.

IT at Dominion Enterprises is continually maturing. Our division has been doing a lot of API driven development and has been focused on moving to a cloud based infrastructure, using AWS. There are a lot of talented backend and UI/UX developers and a gifted group of graphic designers. A lot of people are passionate about their work and go all in on projects and other initiatives. There is a lot of support, room to grow, and great learning opportunities. The overall IT community between the many businesses is growing tighter and stronger as well. We also have 3 hackathons a year which are fun to participate in.

Besides the general work, there are a lot of other great benefits for working for DE.
     - The people are awesome.
     - There are lots of fun activities planned throughout the year.
     - Salaries are competitive for the local area.
     - Great Benefits are available
     - There are employee Perks to get discounts for various goods / services
     - DE supports the local community & charities

    Cons

Having to actually wake up and drive to work. (The commute is easy though.)

    Advice to Management

Continue to improve communication between the various divisions. Due to differences in technology and individual business processes / goals there are lot of things that get worked on multiple times in different ways that ultimately could be done effectively together.
