I worked at Dominion National full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Makes an effort at corporate culture with happy hours and other events. Annual bonuses.

    Cons

Not enough staff in the right places; lip service to customer service but no real support to make it happen. Started off good, very disappointing by the end. CEO rarely seen and out of touch with employee experience. Workload ridiculous; manager don't understand what it really takes to get the job done, because very few of them really get involved.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to needs of your employees. Workload far to heavy for the pay. Lip service paid to work/family balance but impossible to get ahead and have a life.

    Pros

-Work life balance is amazing! - Amazing colleagues that work together in the trenches.

    Cons

    - Current system needs to lessen the amount of back-end work - Better flow of communication between departments - Pay could be better for DC standards

Improve on salary compensation as the DC Area has a high standard of living. Enhance current system to lessen the amount of back-end work.

I worked at Dominion National full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Non management staff is very congenial and pleasant to work with.

    Cons

Senior Leadership is amoral and untrustworthy.

    Advice to Management

True change can never take place until change in Senior Leadership changes. For a company with approximately 250 employees, when I left there were only 25 or so employees with five or more years tenure. And sadly, those were in Management. Turnover amongst non management is horrendously high!

I worked at Dominion National full-time

    Pros

-Brought you food -Co Workers make the day a bit easier to get by

    Cons

-Brought you food to make up the ridiculous standards they impose on you -Literally DONT care for their front line -Claims/Billing dpt are HORRIBLE -You basically lie ALL DAY to customers for reasonings as to why their insurances are messed up (solely because it’s mostly always the company fault) -All they care about is meeting service levels -Those who hold a hire position status, have horrible attitudes

    Advice to Management

A whole NEW team of management is needed

I worked at Dominion National full-time for less than a year

    Pros

If there was one, I never found it. Seriously I think this place could be an asylum masquerading as a legitimate business. Remember to take your anti psychotics instead of lunch.

    Cons

Very unprofessional toxic environment. Employees are basically treated as slaves. Customer service is a joke. Have fun getting yelled at and then justifying your purpose to the company when they fire you without pause.

    Advice to Management

Close the doors ,and file chapter 11 as all your customers are jumping ship.
