    Pros

If getting away with murder and not being held accountable is your M.O. this is the place for you! All aboard a sinking ship!!!

    Cons

Pitiful leadership is the understatement of the century. Zero accountability across the board, and it shows in the overall performance of the company. Management (or lack of) will be the death of this company. Too many cowardly, fake do-nothings along for a free ride on the payroll. This company can't compete and it's been showing for the past several years, always buying time until it's next cash infusion from investors. Over the past year or two seems like someone has made it their personal mission to employ the entire city of Detroit, which is a terrible way to go. The place is a free for all with very little controls, nobody wants to hurt anyone's feelings so there are very little rules or consequences. Somehow HR/PHR has more power than anyone and makes decisions based on the bubble they live in.

    Advice to Management

Quit and let someone qualified and capable do your job. I've never seen a more pathetic management group in all my life. Ride it til the wheels fall off I guess! That seems to be the philosophy

I worked at Door TO Door Organics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Access to really good food, collaborative spirit across teams, hard-working culture and high contribution.

    Cons

As the company got gobbled up by VC interests, the spirit somewhat died.

    Advice to Management

Hiring outside talent yielded nothing close to anticipated returns. Missed opportunities with internal, loyal talent.

I have been working at Door TO Door Organics part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great produce and an active work day with little desk work

    Cons

A just figure it out attitude. Always emailing and waiting days for help. You will feel like tissue in a box. You'll get used up and if you bail, managemnt will go find a new employee and they will get used up and leave. Lots of turn over for part time.

    Advice to Management

Just start giving pt people full-time positions.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Door TO Door Organics full-time

    Pros

Casual environment, used to have some very smart and focused leaders you were able to learn from and promoted an environment conducive to being proactive and taking ownership of your projects.

    Cons

No true mission and goals for the company. Zero strategic 5 year plan. No project is ever started and finished. The company has a long list of projects tied to financial and operational improvement that were started and never really completed other than being given a catchy nickname. Management philosophy there is based on constant chaos and no real focus or road map to success and that culture is promoted and fostered by the one executive the PE firm refuses to get rid of.

    Advice to Management

Advice? It was constantly being given and ignored so why give any now? Anyone with any level of intelligence and commitment to establishing stability, focus and a specific vision for a niche market and creating a value-add proposition for the customer was pushed out. I have never seen such an overall lack of professionalism, managerial focus, and self-serving decision making in a long time. There is a reason the place is bleeding red in the financials.
