Fragmented
Apr 23, 2023 - Residential Support Worker in Honolulu, HIRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Ive learned a lot working there. You learn people behavior by being in constant proximity with guests and it helps to make each day somewhat different. Wonder coworkers, except 1. Never complained and worked unpaid hours.
Cons
No room for growth, They contract help instead of direct hire so some of the workers doesnt align with the company values but their own respective company core values. It creates friction instead of cohesion. Specially the boomers, oh my Lord, most of them use a single formula to solve a variety of issues and refuse to try and explore new methods. Fragility of ego overshadows any potential for growth and synergy. Diverse then devolves to Fragmented. Achievements are downplayed and the lack of leadership planning makes it a one or two time thing instead of something to cultivate and build upon. Infractions are treated with a higher value, ironically, thus spending more resource on something that everyone is capable of, mistakes.

Low Pay/low Morale and trust with Management
May 12, 2023 - Accounting in Santa Monica, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nice ocean view. Office is clean.
Cons
Only a few people are making the call in the company process. Morale is low due to this factor. If you are friends with management you are lucky and is able to get inside scoop. There is no flexible schedule to allow work-life-balance. The ones promoted are for the few who are friends with that one person. And pay is low for more work.

Company culture need an Overhaul
May 7, 2023 - Assistant Property Manager in Century City, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The hiring process is fairly quick and the location is great
Cons
The work load is heavy and with higher turnover than a retail Starbucks, you will quickly realize the reasons. The pay rate is well below competitors so it's better to look elsewhere or stay for a short period of time as leverage and move on to a true Class A property management company.

Pros
They do promote from within even if you're not ready for it.
Cons
The stand out for me was when I had to go to a funeral for a relative the 2nd week I started and was told I couldn't go because I didn't have PTO. The low pay for what they expect from you is awful. Health insurance deductible keeps going up but the quality goes down. Everything keeps being taken away from accounting and construction and given to Property Management. Everyone at DE feels like they are part of a sinking ship and wants out.

TERRIBLE COMPANY TERRIBLE WORK CULTURE
Nov 16, 2022 - Leasing Agent in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Absolutely zero pros for this unstable company.
Cons
Middle Management starts of very kind and supportive the first three-six months. Leasing agents have a yearly quota to make. Once you’ve met the quota in your first year, middle management then uses scare tactics to make you surpass your quota. This is done because middle management stands ti make a bonus if their leasing agents help lease up middle managements region of vacancies. Middle management bullies, harasses, verbally abuses and scares their agents into doing so. Micro management is incessant from middle management to the point where agents have a difficult time focusing on their actual work responsibilities because they are busy worrying about the middle management’s reaction to a missed call or voicemail. Agents are out on probation for the most trivial of things. Another scare tactic. When agents take personal time off they are still contacted by middle management via email or telephone to discuss work. Middle management treats the agents like machines without any kindness or understanding of any sort. It’s a shame as most of the people in the company who are Not part of middle management are kind. STAY ALERT AND KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. This company will compromise your sanity, health, happiness and altogether your wellbeing.
