    Pros

    Hard working colleagues
    Nice Location
Work hours are a plus. typical 8-5

    Cons

Health insurance is ridiculously expensive. I suggest you as to look at the plans before accepting your job offer. They do not reveal the costs until your first day of orientation.

The company lacks proper training. They put you to train with senior staff that might not be teaching you the most up to date procedures. Eventually you get penalized. Management mainly is concerned on covering their tail.

Extremely high turnover rate. There is a group of new hires each week, which means that is a whole group that left the company!

Low pay and promotions are given based on how is the cheapest bid not the most capacitated.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff. Have a genuine concern for their work issues. Emphasize on improving training for new staff.

    Pros

There are no pros to this company

    Cons

They do not care about their employees. There has been over a 75% turnover rate in the last five years. Senior management only looks out for themselves. Management themselves only look to blame others for their errors. Low man on the ladder gets the axe for errors made by management.

I have been working at Dovenmuehle Mortgage full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working for a management team that does not micro manage, and they allow you to use your gifts and talents to get the job done. Dovenmuehle is a place that allows you to move around to different departments and this is great because you can learn many different things or find the area in mortgage servicing that is a good fit for you.

    Cons

It would be nice to have a Schaumburg location

    Advice to Management

I know your job is not easy but the trust you have in your employees to get the job done is greatly appreciated. Keep providing the information needed to your employees so they can be effective on their job! Keep giving them positive feed back to keep them motivated as well as informing them of areas of improvement.

I worked at Dovenmuehle Mortgage full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

People are friendly for the most part.
Nice building with a caf, gym, plenty of parking.
    Free water, coffee.
Job is what you make it; nice being able to put in headphones but you get scolded if your phone is out per company policy.
Don't take work home with you/have to work weekends.
Paid time off is pretty on par for everywhere else, 5 sick days accumulated throughout the year, and 5 vaca days, and goes 10 ten after first year.

    Cons

You're just a cog in the machine, easily replaceable to them. You'll find if you just come in and get your work done you'll be fine, but don't expect praise or a pay bump. They give out 1% raises on a yearly basis, and don't have any bonuses or OT. You probably won't make a career out of this, but it's fine for recent college grads to get some experience under their belt for a year or so, but have that mindset going in.
If you're sitting away from team leads or managers, and away from the main walk ways, with people you like, you'll have more fun. Very strict on being away from desk.

    Advice to Management

Upgrade technology, offer more jean days, and offer to pay for the gym membership. You need to offer all the perks you can to combat apathy from employees.

    Pros

You must be self motivated but it's good place to learn new technology and skills. There is always opportunity for improvements and any initiative is welcome.

    Cons

Compensation is not the best. Appreciation is not part of the work environment, but you will get it from peers.

    Advice to Management

Invest in skilled good employees and the company will save in the long run.

I worked at Dovenmuehle Mortgage full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice facility, cafeteria, some nice people to work with

    Cons

Everyone is expendable to them. They lose a lot of quality employees to managerial disengagement; however, do not care because they can always get someone else to do it for less. 2% pay raise after a year; however, no more raises after that. They promote from who they like, not who is most qualified for the position. Never once saw or met the president of the company and management is shrouded in secrecy. They do not appreciate their staff, their efforts or acknowledge their contributions. They suck.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and take care of your employees. Do not promote from the pool of favorites. Pay people what they are worth. Find out why people leave. Pay attention to the information given at the exit interviews and fix what is broken.

No standard operating procedures or protocol.
