I worked at Dover Motorsports full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

great family atmosphere, excellent team oriented group, good benefits, nice perks and overall certainly one of the elite places to work in all of Delaware.

    Cons

Depending on your role, it may not pay very high compared to other major cities. That said, the cost of living is very inexpensive anywhere in the state.

    Advice to Management

Amazing ownership and direction. The stock price may not say so, but the organization is still to date the best group of people and best management group I've ever been a part of.

I worked at Dover Motorsports full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

CEO does his best to know every employee by name. Employees are pleasant with one another. Lots of food options for lunch.

    Cons

Employee parking is a far walk. Raises for entry level employees are minimal. Some middle management plays favorites. Typical Corporate America employer.

    Advice to Management

Don't seclude employees, team building is sometimes necessary, even if annoying. Kudos to CEO for being an ever present face in the building.

    Pros

Good place to work, friendly management. Good benefits. Helpful overall. Provide annual raises regardless of performance. 1/2 price food.

    Cons

Not very forward thinking, need to act quickly on new ideas and focus on promoting good employees and getting rid of poor employees.

    Advice to Management

Continue to promote high performing employees but look to reassign or remove under performing employees regardless of tenure. Act more quickly in regards to new ideas.

I have been working at Dover Motorsports full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discounted food at facility venues. two free tickets to a race. lousy stock if you are upper management and little perks.

    Cons

have to work race week. bad management, no room for growth. women are not respected. thick line between upper and lower positions.

    Advice to Management

wake up and get with the modern era. i was working on windows 95' software. management needs to make room for growth and leave. Stop with working on outside projects (school) and work when at work.

I worked at Dover Motorsports full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation was competitive. Opportunity to gain experience selling for multiple facilities. Enjoyed the people I worked with locally.

    Cons

Felt micromanaged at times, Business seemed to be struggling given multiple facility closures. Never had much of an opportunity to interact with higher ups from corporate.

    Advice to Management

Would have enjoyed more opportunity to interact with you during my time. Felt neglected and/or unappreciated at times.
