    I worked at Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Friendly people to work with and great benefits.

    Cons

    Certain department need to take more time to train employees when new changes are implemented.

    Advice to Management

    Take more time to grow the knowledge of existing employees, especially seasoned employees before you take the action of having to terminate employment.

    Ease up a bit on cross selling push, annoys members more than helps them

    Pros

    Ability to make a difference everyday
    Steady, (fairly) consistent work hours
    Great coworkers
    Good benefits (401k match, health insurance, flex spending)

    Cons

    PTO policies- straight PTO for vacation, sick days, personal days. Use more than 2 unplanned PTO days in a year and you will be reprimanded up to termination.
    Little to no career growth as there is only one location and low turnover at management levels

    Advice to Management

    Upper management overall is great but there is a LOT of politics played by middle management which causes low morale and unease in lower employees.
