Great place to grow your career within a company. Good work life balance with a focus on the family not just the individual. Good pay with good benefits.

Cons

There is a bit of disconnect between maintanence and operations due to one being union and one not. Work process put in place is not always follwed so jobs become over due and over budget.

Company will not spend money to update engineering buildings, leading to leaking ceilings in the offices and other problems.

Pay is decent, as stated in many reviews learning opportunities abound and despite some reviews I believe pay and benefits are a little better than average.(Note: heritage Rohm and Hass acquired in 2009) Decent opportunity for advancement but that is likely site dependent..

RIGID work processes and culture. Square peg, round hole and you better like it. This may be typical in giant companies, though..

Great benefits and as far as I've had the leadership has been fantastic. There are many opportunities to improve skill sets and advance within the company.

It can sometimes be difficult to work through the work process to get things done. What you feel like should be a quick project can sometimes take significantly longer than expected.

Very good career development with strong work processes. Excellent minorities empowerment initiatives as well as mentoring programs.

Very political environment where relationships are more important than skills. Leadership can be very poor and indicated only because of their social skills. Takes very long time for the company make decisions. Many sites doesn't respect global work processes and think they are better than the standards.
