The down sides to working for this company if you have any kind of disability they discriminate against you and will find any way they can to dismiss you. My advice

Stop thinking of Employee's with disability's are expendable they work harder than ones with no disability because they know the value of having a job , are the first ones there and the last ones to leave.

I worked at Dr Pepper Snapple Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are some amazing people that work at the company and it's a great place to learn. The company focuses a lot on efficiency and is working hard to reduce costs and increase profits - a skill set that can be taken to any other job and has been a great asset.

    Cons

The culture varies greatly depending on what department you are in. Some departments are very unified and encouraging, others are very dysfunctional and cut-throat. The company as a whole still seems somewhat disorganized after the spin-off from Cadbury.

    Advice to Management

Work on training upper management with inter-personal relations. It appears upper management would rather not be involved in the "lower-level" issues but a culture of honor and respect starts from the top. People work harder when they feel valued and respected and I believe management could do a better job of this.

I worked at Dr Pepper Snapple Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pretty good benefits and OK! Bonuses.

    Cons

Very high turnover. not enough compensation for the hours worked.

    I would not work here!

Management wants you to work 14-15 hours a day but only get compensated for 40 a week. so you get less than 6 hours of Sleep/ Family time to be back on time at work. No room for growth in the warehouse. Upper management works less than 50 hours week and get to see their family but you must work 65-80 hours sometimes 6 days a week so they get their bonus. There is no Work/ Life Balance here! HR doesn't help. They say "That's what salaried people do".
Upper Management pick who they want to grow and not on performance but on brown nosing. No communication with employees. Upper Management has no clue how to run a warehouse or their people. Very little training. No SOP'S or GMP's. you have no input even if you know how to run the warehouse in a safe and productive manner with good time management. Upper management will stab you in the back to make them look good. They will tell you to do one thing but go behind you and say they never said that!

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. help your employees if they need help.

    Pros

lots of hours and you have a union. Chance to move around to different departments.
benefits, pension, paid holidays and vacation pay.

    Cons

Way too many hours of OT to make top pay. Lots of unfair practices and HR doesn't do anything to help.

    Advice to Management

stop with the blame game and finger pointing. Take ownership of mistakes and move on.
Too much micro managing is overbearing.

    Pros

You can make many business contacts as you will be interacting with many customers. The health benefits are good compared to other companies.

    Cons

If you have a family then this job is not for you. You will be working seven days per week and will put in many 15 hour days. Upper management does not appreciate the commitment that is required and always bottom line blame is placed on your staff

    Advice to Management

Allow your mid level managers to run their department and trust them.
