I have been working at Dreamwear full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Fun fast paced growing company where there is the opportunity to learn and grown in many different departments. Dreamwear is a young company where many employees start as interns while in college and move onto full-time positions. Employees can learn and take on a lot of responsibility quickly compared to more corporate companies with traditional set career paths. Company is well respected with it's retail customers...

    Cons

Have to be able to multi task, and juggle and as well as work under tight time constraints.

    Advice to Management

Continue with the honesty and integrity the company was built on and continue to reward hardworking loyal employees.

I worked at Dreamwear full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Shorter days on most Fridays for summer and Shabbat during daylight savings, free samples, bonus at end of year, some very dear friends made there, if you make it past one year the raise is very good (but they lowball your starting salary to begin with), ok job if you want a taste of what corporate life is like, I was fortunate to be placed with a supportive and wonderful manager & team but not everyone can be so...

    Cons

High stress environment for little/no reward, office is cluttered and disorderly, top management likes to change the procedures from one day to the next as well as across brands making it difficult for employees to fully understand and succeed, many people don’t smile when you pass them because they are also stressed over work, low company morale, no place for employees to take lunch like common room so u have to eat...

    Advice to Management

Have trust in your employees, do something nice to show you care and to show employee appreciation throughout the year (having a company party twice a year doesn’t make up for the deep stress and under appreciation of employees all year.) It doesn’t make sense for the top management to be a part of all sales meetings when the organization itself and employee satisfaction is completely overlooked. Someone needs to manage...

I worked at Dreamwear full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I lucked out with a wonderful manager but some there couldn't care less.

    Cons

They literally told me during my interview, "Even if people are bad at their job we usually don't fire them." Why on earth would I want to work somewhere where people are bad at their job?

    Advice to Management

Hire better. Put more focus on work-driven results rather than making a fuse over employees being in at 9 on the dot.

I have been working at Dreamwear full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

I been working in this company for 10 years and it has been my greatest honor. Dreamwear gave me a lot opportunity to learn and grow with the company. We have 3 company parties each year and a lot of extra days off during Jewish Holiday.

    Cons

The Fashion Industry is a stressful field, always prepare to handle problems and issues.

    Advice to Management

Arrange more one to one meeting with your employees so that you can better understand their needs.

I have been working at Dreamwear full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Dreamwear is hands down my favorite job. The team is driven yet very kind and exceptionally talented. Since we have a variety of brand licenses, there are many different print projects to keep me challenged and learning. And it's is still small enough to have a family vibe. (Elliot knows and greets everyone by name, even the interns!) If you are pro-active and motivated, there are a lot of opportunities to grow...

    Cons

As with most companies in the fashion industry, this is fast paced. We juggle multiple deadlines and brands at any given time.

I have been working at Dreamwear full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Industry Leaders, homogenous group of hardworking, driven individuals who wear many hats, positive work/life balance, generous paid time off benefits mixing allotted time off, public and religious holidays, 3 annual company parties celebrating and recognizing employee's hard work and efforts.

    Cons

Retail continues to be a challenging market to operate in

    Advice to Management

Continue to work hard and maintain a customer/employee focus which Dreamwear has maintained in such high regard.

I worked at Dreamwear full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    There are some nice people

    Cons

Most people at this company seem very unhappy for a majority of the time. Company morale can use a lot of work. Most people seem overworked and do the jobs of at least two workers. A lot of time is spent having conversations about what they wish was different at the company, but nothing ever truly gets done. They also have a high turnover rate which would concern me if I was looking to work here. Many of the few people...

    Advice to Management

Work on morale. It is very noticeable how unhappy everyone is, but nothing has ever been done about it. With how obvious it is- buyers, interviewees, and other visitors must notice.
