    Pros

Working at Dresser-Rand is like working in a big family; we know one another; we work with one another.
Any employee will always take the time to explain you a concept you do not understand.
My managers always listen to what I have to say and take into account my comments.

    Cons

    Pros

Big company with a small company feel. People are great and with the new Siemens integration there are a lot of opportunities.

    Cons

With the down turn of oil and gas, the initiatives set by management are extreme. Not a lot of explanation on targets or goals set by upper management.

    Pros

Most people here are pleasant and great to work with. There is a lot of knowledge and experience here and everyone is willing to share and help out newcomers.

    Cons

Just like most large companies dealing with upper management is not always a joy.

    Advice to Management

Look at what and where the true values are. Take care of the people that are making the money for the company.

    Pros

The leadership team had a way of making employees at all levels of the company buy in to building a better product.

    Cons

The location of the facility was far from most cultural activities. Working in rural America does that.
