    Negative Outlook

I worked at Drexel University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay and Benefits are great

    Cons

As one reviewer said, there needs to be standard operating procedure. Faculty are usually in charge of staff at higher levels but don't have much experience in management of employees. Communication is sparse and makes it hard to be on the same page. Faculty goes one direction, staff goes the other and it felt like there are two camps you could belong to. Would be great if it felt like everyone worked together for a common goal, but work is either doubled in effort because of this or not done at all. Advancement is few and far between unless you switch departments.

    Advice to Management

Management training of higher staff is needed.
