I worked at Dreyer Clinic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    easy job nice co workers

    Cons

The starting pay is very low and the benefit cost are based on your years of service. If you are new you will pay more for your benefits. There are no paid holidays the clinic is usually closed on holidays and if you do not have any PTO you do not get paid. Upper management isnt all that great

I have been working at Dreyer Clinic full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great at helping to educate employees with current job descriptions. Excellent Benefits, but a bit pricey.

    Cons

Allows all kinds of shenanigans from employees with little to know reprimand

    Advice to Management

Reward those who deserve it, Fire those that deserve it!

    Pros

Coworkers are awesome. Most of the doctors are great. Good benefits (insurance, PTO, 401K) 1 hour lunch breaks. Lots of locations, good opportunity for lateral moves, not necessarily advancement.

    Cons

Poor management. Supervisors not qualified for their positions. No work/life balance. All promotions are political and not based on performance. Lots of cliques and gossip around the company. Good associates have been fired for no reason, other than supervisor doesn't like them personally.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of incompetent supervisors. Care about your employees and not just your bottom line. Create more opportunities for advancement.

I have been working at Dreyer Clinic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Generally employees are dedicated to the mission of the clinic, very friendly, and willing to continue to learn and excel.

    Cons

Office culture was poor. Seemed a bit like high school with the gossip and cliques. Made the office seem tense and uncomfortable at times and the department manager did little to help the situation.

    Advice to Management

Upper management was always very knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. I do wish they visited the departments more often and communicated more often with the managers and associates.

I worked at Dreyer Clinic full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - High level of collegiality
    - Many engaged providers
    - Strong involvement with Advocate Health Care

    Cons

    - Administration disconnected from leaders and physicians
    - Poor work/life balance
    - Difficulties with prioritization

    Advice to Management

Listen to the concerns of the associates in regards to workload. Bring back the family-like atmosphere. Better manage work/life balance. You can focus on business/financial success while having a little FUN!

I worked at Dreyer Clinic full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Physicians are an awsome group of Doctors who really care about their patients. They are hindered however by the demands for production.

    Cons

Not sure who is running the clinic anymore. With John Potter, you knew exactly what was expected of you and his word was golden. Now... a lot of lip service, back stabbing, and unhappy associates.

    Advice to Management

Get to know your employees again. Create a culture in that your employees actually feel good about coming to work instead of feeling "is this my day to get terminated because my boss is having a bad day?"

    Pros

Friendlly, pleasant place to work. Everyone cares about doing a good job and making the patients happy and healthy. Very high expectations but they care about associate satisfaction as well as patient satisfaction.

    Cons

No casual Friday dress code. You have to be able to accept change, things are always changing, usually for the better.
