    Pros

    Awesome people, fun and challenging projects to work on, opportunity to see the in-house manufacturing process, smaller company so more interaction with the leadership

    Cons

    Struggling times for the company since the decline in oil prices, pay freeze, intense work environment, layoffs increase the overall workload of the company

    Advice to Management

    Continue the internship program and try to continue to bring new and exciting projects for the interns to work on. Other than that great job.

    I have been working at Dril-Quip full-time

    Pros

    Great place to learn the oil field. First in the Oil industry to implement APQP. The majority of workers tend to work very well together to acheive high performance.

    Cons

    Some old middle management is still in place that is not forward thinking, this is holding back the implementation of innovative processes.

    Advice to Management

    CEO needs to further drive Quality objectives through Engineering, and hold managers responsible for implementation.

    - Good people
    - Depending on the group you work in, the work can be very challenging
    - New Facilities, engineers get offices as a matter of policy
    - There seem to be plenty of opportunities, especially for younger engineers

    Cons

    - Employee policies can be frustrating at times
    - As a smaller company, they are frequently unable to match certain benefits offered by larger competitors

    Pros

    The best, hands-on, well-rounded, engineering experience to be found in the industry.
    Expansive, vertically integrated manufacturing facility is on-site at the global headquarters, which provides valuable experience to engineers and allows for rapid turn-around times when required.
    Company has been and continues to make benefit improvements.
    Small Company Feel allows for a strong sense of personal value and achievement.

    Cons

    Senior Management has been implementing significant improvements to company culture and work/life balance, but is unwilling to entertain a flex-40 or 10-80 schedule of any kind.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to improve benefits and training program developments to retain more employees over time.

    Pros

    Things are seemingly turning around as new benefits are being added and promotion from within is headed for an upswing.

    Cons

    Management doesn't appear to really have a finger on the pulse of departments and have a grasp of what's going on in terms of morale and attitude.

    Advice to Management

    Recognize the key talent in each department and work towards cultivating an atmosphere that will encourage these inviduals to want to stay and grow with the company.
