    Pros

DriveTime has such a positive culture. One that I've never seen before in any other company I've been apart of. DT upper and middle management listens to their employees and are extremely transparent with company initiatives. Work life balance is a plus here too( longer hours during tax season though). When you're off, you're off! In previous positions I've had with large companies my off days would be filled with still working from home with a laptop and still having to deal with calls on my work phone even if I was with family. DriveTime is a growing company with great leadership. And every Dealership is different but most people whom I come across in the company truly enjoy being part of DriveTime.

    Cons

I like the old price stickers more than the new ones that we use. I couldn't think of another con.

    Pros

Good benefits and title work experience, you also learn to interface with various levels of upper-management ...

    Cons

It is funny how all these positive reviews from the home oofice are popping up. Anytime you have a CEO who has the attitude that eveyone can be replaced, RUN. The hours are too long and unhealthy. Upper management are always the last to arrive and the first to leave. HR is extremely unprofessional, especially in Florida (the RTM NEVER returns calls and when you report hostility, she blames it on you). The market managers always take the side of the sale associates, you talk to more voicemails than actual people. When it snowed, the regionals, who were at home, threatened to write everyone up. The dealerships keep popping up but they lack proper leadership and are severly understaffed. You will be underpaid although they think they are doing us a favor. Do NOT ask for feedback because you will not get it if it means helping you get to the next level. They rely on too much gossip, especially the Florida RTM ...

    Pros

As a member on the sales floor. Getting to work with other people for long hours, you get to know them both professionally and personally (both can cause trouble). The money is good during tax season, but it will get difficult when there are many people on the sales floor.

    Cons

No work/life balance, this can cause problems in relationships and other things. Management can micro-manage and be petty on many areas of what go on. Rather than talk to you they hid behind a computer and discuss in email until a write up comes. Long hours it makes no sense that the hours the dealerships are open basically have no life. Over priced used cars with high interest rate. Always adding people to an already crowed dealership. The DriveTime I was hired with, is turning into a basic car dealership, not the one where it was actually trying to help and cared.

    Pros

Salaried, so get paid even for doing nothing.

    Cons

Long hours almost everyday. No work/life balance. If you have children or loved ones you will rarely see them. They are constantly doing payroll cuts and bonus adjustments taking money anyway from the sales team and claiming it will make you more money. Also they will string you along for a promotion just to keep you happy. Very little opportunity for advancement, they change their metrics for promotions all the time to deny you the opportunity. Any one who is a sales manager or higher has been there a minimum of 5 years, so lots of seniority you have to deal with.

    Pros

Meeting with different customers everyday and the friendships you make at work because of the long hours you spend there.

    Cons

There is no work-life balance...they frown on taking time off. If you start off as a sales advisor you will not be promoted higher than a General Manager. Upper management past GM does not take criticism well and most are not business minded..... Your pay structure will change constantly without notice

Thank you for your review. The company strongly believes in promoting from within as openings become available. In fact a majority of our current Senior Leadership started off as Sales Advisors.

Community
We are dedicated to standing together with our #veterans and continuing to educate ourselves on how we can aid and honor those who are serving or who have served and their families. Last Friday we had the honor of walking in the #VeteransDay parade through Downtown Phoenix. We’re grateful for the opportunity to pay tribute to the community and show thanks to our veterans.
