I worked at Driveline Retail Merchandising part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule. Nobody breathing down your neck while you work. Appropriate pay.

    Cons

Part time job but bombard you with too much work. Lots of wasted time jobs (drive 25 minutes for a 30 minute job when you would only make about $6 for that 30 minutes with no mileage). Poor logistics.

    Advice to Management

    Be better with logistics.

I have been working at Driveline Retail Merchandising part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hours are slightly customizable, good for people who mainly want to do part-time work, can work at your own pace. They are very forgiving I you make mistakes, you may get a lecture but that's about it. You get weekends off so their is a lot of free time but don't plan on having enough money to do anything fall/winter unless you have more than 4 stores, which if you are planning on this being part-time you are not gonna want.

    Cons

Don't plan on ever getting much of a raise. They work you to death at the beginning of the year and then barely give you enough hours to get by during the fall/winter months. Its difficult to get a hold of your boss when you actually need help. Sometimes it is hard to get you work finished properly due to store conditions. Honestly I don't believe employees are getting paid enough for some of the work we are assigned, which leads me to also put in that some resets can be ridiculous. They work their good employees to hard and sweep the bad ones under the rug and do not fire them.

    Pros

Very flexible hours and scheduling. (Usuaully) No longer need to waste so much paper and ink printing work-orders and instructions now that all work is reported by smartphone app.

    Cons

Work is inconsistent. Not enough to live on or more than you have time for. Seasonal slowdown to almost no hours around the holidays. Very low mileage reimbursement, just now being reduced by 20%. Smartphone an absolute requirement for reporting app now. No apparent sympathy for employees who can't afford one.

    Advice to Management

Please reconsider the mileage rate! Try to find a way to increase hours during the holiday slump. Improve employment requirements beyond just having a pulse (in some cases, some of our coworkers are really useless).

I worked at Driveline Retail Merchandising part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Very flexible scheduling
    -No Co-Workers to deal with
-No supervisors breathing down your neck
    -No drama
    -Decent starting pay

The work really is easy. You drive to different stores and complete the work assignments that you printed off on your work portal. Some are installing theft fixtures, some are resetting product to make room for new product, some are audit counts, and some are just sticking coupons on product. Easy work for decent pay. No co workers to irritate you, unless it's a team project. No supervisor breathing down your neck.

    Cons

    -Low hours during off-season
    -Rude Store Managers
    -Salty District Managers

During the holiday, Driveline is slow with projects but once they are over, new products are coming out and more projects become available. However, with all the pros of not putting up with others, there are some rude store managers. I've had some that acted like it was a nuisance that I was there to clean their shelves as I reorganized products and installed shelf strips and even stocked... something they wouldn't have to do. Not all Store Managers are this way though. There are some very kind ones.

    Advice to Management

Make Store Managers treat Driveline merchandisers with more respect. There's no cause for the rude tones and behaviors.
District Managers need to pay better attention to what Merchandisers are telling them and not be so salty when one puts in their two week notice to leave.
