I have been working at Droga5 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

access to management and c suite - and they’re super approachable
Awesome creative and strat depts - and production for that matter
Generally good, smart people that just want to do a good job and have a good time, there’s a good vibe all round (as w most offices a few bad eggs, but generally good people)
Good heart - loads of pro bono, better than min leave and maternity leave. Truly feels like they want to do the right thing

    Cons

A little too focused on making the millennials happy - which makes the millennials a bit entitled ie having a games room when there isn’t enough meeting rooms, dinner at 7... loads of parties .. maybe about 3 too many. Not sure if that’s a con?!

    Advice to Management

    👌🏽

I have been working at Droga5 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a great place to see if you really want to work in advertising. Some of the people are amazing and every so often you get to work on a cool project project. You will have opportunities to walk your work through production no matter what level you are in, and you will learn a lot very quickly.

    Cons

Most of the ACD/CDs don't know how to be leaders. A lot of expectations that should not fall on you probably will, and when s#|% hits the fan, be ready to take the fall because the higher-ups won't. Droga5 is becoming just like every other run-of-the-mill ad agency that produces one, maybe two great pieces a year and the rest of the stuff is mediocre at best.

    Advice to Management

Purge, and start from the top.

I have been working at Droga5 full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Talented, hard working and intelligent colleagues.
    Dinner provided after 8p.
D5 name on resume, some big brands.
    Cold brew.
    Happy hour on Fri.
    Good benefits.

    Cons

    Politics.
Too big, no one knows anyone.
No mentorship, sink or swim mentality.
Little feedback until something goes wrong.
    No interest in retaining talent.
Senior Mgmt is out of touch and does not seem to care.
    Low Morale throughout depts.

    Advice to Management

Foster an environment where employees feel like you're invested in them, otherwise how are you going to retain talent?

Show that you care. Be available. Be present. Be considerate of individuals strengths and weaknesses when pairing teams. Understand workloads.

    I worked at Droga5 full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

All of your colleagues will smile at you in the hallways, whether you work with them directly or not. People work collaboratively and are the best of the best when it comes to strategy and brand purpose.

    Cons

Sometimes colleagues are too collaborative. Too many cooks in the kitchen (which is normal for any organization you work at), but people give opinions on and push back in areas where they have no background, training, expertise or even experience. It provides for poor outputs on the whole and decreases the business output for the client.

    Advice to Management

Ask smart questions and put the client's business goals first. And ultimately make sure that trickles down to the entire organization.

    I worked at Droga5 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Creative. David. Clients. Lots of super talented people and lots of learning. I honestly had a blast, even though there were a lot of hours.

    Cons

Account Management. Finance. Lots and lots of late nights, but that's only really a problem because of the other two cons, which make life frustrating.

    Advice to Management

I don't guess there is anything that can be done at this point, as the ship has kind of sailed.
