    I worked at Droga5 full-time

    Pros

There are plenty of intelligent and dedicated people working at Droga5. They keep the place afloat.

    Cons

Hard-working and smart people were unexpectedly laid off, but the agency managed to find funds for exorbitant parties, on-and-offsite happy hours, and random useless gestures. There's no amount of alcohol and/or food that will compensate for the fact that people are overwhelmed and sometimes working in vain due to disorganization. The constant pressure has cultivated a cut-throat environment. People will smile at you then talk badly about you behind your back.

On top of that, leadership is shady and complicit. For them, the bottom line matters more than chronic sexual harassment and general misery. Plus, they act like they care about "diversity," but that same concern doesn't apply to all marginalized groups.

    Advice to Management

Fire yourselves. For the next set of leaders - establish processes and lead ethically.

    I worked at Droga5 full-time

    Pros

Cool atmosphere. Great people. Fun times.

    Cons

My last few months there were painful. When I found out I got laid off, I was glad.

    Advice to Management

Stop forcing employees to drink the Kool-Aid. Not everyone wants to hang out with the people they work with 40 hours a week outside of the office. Also, maybe consider not spending excessive funds on things that make your agency seem super cool when people's jobs/livelihoods are at stake? You laid off 40 people, but the majority probably could have been kept on if not for ridiculous spending on so many unnecessary things that nobody cares about. Snacks? Alcohol? Renting out a bowling alley for Australia Day? How many people had their lives turned upside down for things like this? No room for growth, and a terrible severance package. Would NOT recommend.

    Pros

Encouraging environment, you'll learn a ton, and big ideas are encouraged and fought for.

    Cons

Work life balance isn't always the best but it's getting better. There are a lot of initiatives meant to improve this.
