I have been working at Droga5 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Diverse, intelligent, talented colleagues. 25 days of paid vacation. Parties. David Droga speeches. HR and other teams do a good job at keeping the place fun. Good/supportive/safe community.

    Cons

Long hours (like really long for creative and production teams), not the best pay in the industry

    I worked at Droga5 full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

All of your colleagues will smile at you in the hallways, whether you work with them directly or not. People work collaboratively and are the best of the best when it comes to strategy and brand purpose.

    Cons

Sometimes colleagues are too collaborative. Too many cooks in the kitchen (which is normal for any organization you work at), but people give opinions on and push back in areas where they have no background, training, expertise or even experience. It provides for poor outputs on the whole and decreases the business output for the client.

    Advice to Management

Ask smart questions and put the client's business goals first. And ultimately make sure that trickles down to the entire organization.

I have been working at Droga5 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Upper management clearly expresses interest in cultivating talent to move into more senior roles.

Agency works hard to foster a positive working environment that makes occasionally long hours more than bearable.

Most people here are legitimately interested in doing the best work that they possibly can and it shows.

    Cons

Timelines are not always realistic but are almost always mandated to deliver by/against. This leads to a high variability in working hours, one week you may work 70+ hours where others you might have a much more manageable 50 or so.

    Pros

Great place to make a name for yourself due to having access to big-named clients.

    Cons

Creatives have too much power. Disorganized accounts. Rarely promote from within. Fear of getting fired is a common thing. Zero respect for time-off. Pushing digitally/socially savvy work is super difficult.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to listen to your team members; all of them, not just Director/Group level.

I have been working at Droga5 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great caliber of people, both in nature, talent and work ethic are hired here. Culture is fun and laid back in atmosphere.

    Cons

Growing too quickly, therefore talent is not kept through the growing pains. Bottom line is business only, not growth of talent. People are worked to the bone and are not treated fairly for the hours they put in. A very corporate environment for a place that announces it isn't. I've heard so many stories where people were fired and had no idea they weren't doing well. They got renowned reviews and then 2 weeks they are let go without reason. Be careful and know you are not as valuable as you may think. There is absolutely no job security.

    Advice to Management

Please commit yourselves to growing talent from within, not utilizing the revolving the door quite so much.
