Reviews about "smart people"
Return to all Reviews- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
A lot of friendly, smart and talented people (Most gone in the past 6 months)
Cons
Freshman-year college feel. You're hired and almost instantly you have to prepare for rush week except that rush week goes on for years. There is no difference from college life to work life at Droga5. Management is toxic to themselves and their "team". Every senior-level person hates the next senior-level person across every department. Poor level of discretion when your employees know you all abhor each other and take every possible opportunity to screw one another over.

Pros
Agency makes incredible advertising work and hires pretty smart people. It's lively and there's always a new challenge ahead.
Cons
Agency main priority is money, not people, making it a place with long hours and unfriendly management.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Smart people and great culture
Cons
None that I can think of
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
- People are smart - (most of) sr leadership genuinely care - Depending on your role, there can be room to stretch and grow - It's a top tier place. The standard is so high. - At least lately people leave at a decent hour
Cons
- The industry is declining, and so is the opportunity here to do killer work - The rapid growth and then contraction has led to a fragmented culture. No one knows each other. No one cares that no one knows each other.

Pros
Still a respected agency that has some extremely smart people to learn from.
Cons
Management blatantly operating out of self-interest at times. Certain departments very top-heavy. Can feel clique-y at times.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Valuable learning experience and incredibly smart people.
Cons
Hard work at all times.

Pros
There are plenty of intelligent and dedicated people working at Droga5. They keep the place afloat.
Cons
Hard-working and smart people were unexpectedly laid off, but the agency managed to find funds for exorbitant parties, on-and-offsite happy hours, and random useless gestures. There's no amount of alcohol and/or food that will compensate for the fact that people are overwhelmed and sometimes working in vain due to disorganization. The constant pressure has cultivated a cut-throat environment. People will smile at you then talk badly about you behind your back. On top of that, leadership is shady and complicit. For them, the bottom line matters more than chronic sexual harassment and general misery. Plus, they act like they care about 'diversity,' but that same concern doesn't apply to all marginalized groups.

- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Smart people, used to be a truly wonderful company culture. Some of those perks are still there.
Cons
Grew too big too fast. No real infrastructure in place to help save it. Long hours and pressure to be the best. Wasn't always like this.
