Pros

This is the best company I've ever worked at in terms of company culture. The executive leadership team is very engaged in making DMA a great place to work, and they are all very approachable and kind. They REALLY CARE about people, and it shows. DMA is employee-owned (an ESOP), which means that all employees own stock in the company and are therefore invested in ensuring it is successful. We give our best and work together as a team. We treat each other with respect, and it really does feel like a big family. We do right by our clients - meaning that we put our clients FIRST - even if it means we make less money. We care more about the long-term client relationship than making a quick buck. That is VERY refreshing!

Cons

We are still struggling with turnover in some departments due to the nature of the job (it's tax accounting, with very specific deadlines), but our leaders really are trying to do what they can to help with the pressure of filing deadlines. Some benefits are not as robust as competitors.

The pay was slightly subpar for this sort of role, and their benefits are quite good, but nothing incredible

Sometimes there is a lack of communication between divisions that causes unnecessary headaches. As a company that is growing rapidly there are growing pains like not having set sop's in place

Hands off management. Anyone who complains about being overworked probably hasn't worked in other companies. Work/Life balance is encouraged so if you don't take the time off you want or need, you have yourself to blame, not your manager.

A bit of a "good old boy" network in highest management.
