    Pros

Great doctors, some really beautiful facilities and a hand full of staff who are really trying to make a difference but don't stand a chance in that environment.

    Cons

Some of the worst leaders I've ever encountered. CEO is a bully who makes things happen not through inspiring leadership or empowering employees, but by intimidation and pitting one director against another. Managers and directors are more concerned with covering their butts than actually doing good work - and you can't blame them. It's toxic over there.

    Advice to Management

Read books on servant leadership, understand that humility isn't weakness, acknowledge that other people's ideas have some validity and get over yourself. Intimidation isn't leadership.

    Pros

It is difficult to think of many pros regarding work with DMG. Some of the physicians and middle managers are caring. However, anyone too kind and strong is quickly removed from the organization.

    Cons

Culture is extremely anti-woman. Women are unfairly terminated in both professional administration and physician roles. CEO and COO misinterpret strong leadership to mean arbitrary and harsh edicts. Executive director level is comprised of shallow "yes" men. Leadership at DMG does not seem to understand the word "care" in health care. It's all about the profits.

    Advice to Management

Corporate culture needs to change to embrace patient care values. Women can be valuable contributors and should have a spot at the decision-making table.
