I have been working at DuPage Medical Group full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Some really good physicians Many employees who care about the patients and are trying to make a difference

    Cons

Senior management is untrustworthy and only care about the almighty dollar Understaffed in all departments to the point of poor patient care You must conform to their way of thinking or risk retaliation Management micomanages everything

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to be the biggest and concentrate on being the best. Your employees are the backbone of the organization, treat them with respect they deserve and listen to them. Have the infrastructure in place before buying every practice you can get your hands on

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at DuPage Medical Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Sometimes there would be potlucks.

    Cons

Terrible pay. Excessive micromanagement-literally down to the seconds. Questioned if bathroom breaks exceed 3 minutes. Building is infested with spiders and house millipedes-floors never vacuumed. Employee favoritism extremely evident. Supervisors are too busy having pow wows, lunch dates, and dunkin donut trips to be available for help when needed. Time off requests are frequently questioned and denied for...

    Advice to Management

Call center representatives are not qualified to determine whether or not patients questions or concerns warrant being connected to their physicians office. Patients should never be questioned by schedulers beyond what the reason is for scheduling. If a patient wishes to speak to a nurse they should not be prodded for reason to the point of frustration. A supervisor should be available at all times for help or guidance,...

    Cons

    Advice to Management

A position should be on quality and production Not all should be paid equal

    Pros

    Wonderful Doctors, wonderful fellow employees

    Cons

This company, under Mike and his financial shenanigans, does indeed make the docs richer. That’s where it ends. Grow grow grow and hurt everything else in its path. Patients and the worker bees suffer. If your employees aren’t taken care of you might just be a phony.

    Advice to Management

I worked at DuPage Medical Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are a few nice people that work for this company. Not many, but a few.

    Cons

The list is far too expansive to cover everything, but suffice it to say, the new COO would rather irritate all staff to the point they quit so they can make the stakeholders happy then to allow managers to approve requisitions to back fill badly understaffed positions in departments. Also, if you are a married white male, especially one with conservative values like not using foul language or not telling coworkers HIPPA...

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is that if you become aware of an employee being targeted without cause that you act more quickly to transfer them to another department where they won't be subjected to it. I requested a transfer 2 months prior to being let go, partially to escape the outright harassment. Obviously my attempts were in vain and the racist staff in the department did enough harm to my employability to get me gone.
