I worked at DuPont for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great contractor rate. Easy work. Not busy, hard to fill 40 hours a week.

    Cons

Contractors treated like 3rd class citizens. This Co Management thing with AGILE 1 sucks. Management can't talk you because of being a contractor.

I have been working at DuPont full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Dupont is a great work environment. You will be surrounded with science types and analytical thinkers even in the financial departments. As a financial quantitative analyst be prepared to live up to the mathematical and scientific standards of such individuals

    Cons

Watch out for routine nature of business. Its up to you to be creative or the company has no trouble maintaining status quo/

I worked at DuPont full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Excellent people and diverse workforce. Very respectful and professional work environment. Good compensation and benefits. Beautiful new buildings at corporate headquarters in Wilmington, DE.

    Cons

Employee morale has been plummeting in recent years as the company goes through major restructuring and merger with Dow. Management's current expectations of "do more with less" can make workload feel unbearable at times.

I worked at DuPont full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

DuPont and its divisions offered a lot of opportunity. In addition, DuPont's Core vales of Respect for People, Ethics, Environmental Stewardship and Safety were themes that most of DuPont leadership held to be absolute...and in my experience, this trickled down in positive ways.

    Cons

The merger with DOW has forced a significant reduction in Central R&D, and in many functions that affected many people across the company. It has been painful and seems only to serve the activist investors and not the operational businesses.
