    Pros

R&D has been stimulating and rewarding. Innovation has been broadly recognized, but that buys little regard In current atmosphere of short term thinking of dramatic cost cutting.

    Cons

Current situation very uncertain. Upcoming planned merger and split appears quite disadvantageous to employees in Delaware, with job cuts and forced relocation of employees to Iowa, Indiana and Michigan expected. Significant loss of younger talent ongoing.

    Advice to Management

Be honest about current climate. Try to retain some talent other than top executives, because future success depends upon more than a layer at the top. Many employees are fed up and waiting for separation package so as to be done with Breen Plan.

    Pros

The excellent people you work with. Many opportunities to grow and relative freedom to do your job as you best see fit.

    Cons

Recent leadership style demotivates employees. Narrow minded business decisions always centered on cutting costs demotivate employees and lead to a non- sustainable business model.

    Advice to Management

Take some lessons from the past!

I have been working at DuPont full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The best attribute about working at DuPont is the people. Many people are very intelligent, cooperative, and work diligently at their jobs. The work can also be challenging and meaningful if you are in the right group and role. The pay, benefits, and vacation are competitive.

    Cons

DuPont is currently under enormous change a lightning speed. Unfortunately the legacy DuPont company will no longer exist in 1-2 years post merger with Dow and subsequent split into 3 smaller companies. There are currently many lay-offs and reassignments throughout the company so morale is a bit low. Due to the downturn in many commodity markets, DuPont will not be hiring through 2016 except for critical positions.

    Pros

Safety is big, but worth knowing. Great business and most people are considerate and listen to your comments/recommendations.

    Cons

cannot excel to higher level with the position I am in. It was a position they created without really researching.

I have been working at DuPont (More than a year)

    Pros

DuPont provides great benefits and a good working atmosphere. They are very family oriented and understanding when it comes to life needs.

    Cons

Currently seems to be unstable with the selling off of different parts of DuPont. There is a lot of bureaucracy to deal with (did you get the memo about the TPS reports?).

    Advice to Management

Line Management - interact more on the floor
Area Management - Let line management do their job with out micro managing
