I have been working at DuPont full-time

    Pros

    Great people and values throughout

    Cons

centralisation, bureaucracy and fear of making mistakes prevented this company from making acquisitions that would have protected it against the type of transactions it is about to conclude with Dow. Good news is management has changed since, bad news is that this came too late

    Advice to Management

Focus on revenue growth and not earnings growth

I worked at DuPont full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

High standards of corporate responsibility. The company is focused on safety of employees, customers, and other people directly affected by their products. Good human resources practices.

    Cons

Fairly high level of bureaucracy. Company is often more conservative than optimal. I saw that safety took precedent over profit on numerous occasions.
