I have been working at DuPont as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good experience, great people, the products that we make really help people and the process is intriguing to learn about.

    Cons

Some boring work as a co-op, difficult time for DuPont in the middle of a merger. Large company so can struggle to be lean and make changes at times.

    Advice to Management

    None

I have been working at DuPont full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No shortage of interesting technical challenges and high impact projects to become involved with. Rich company history.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations from management/leadership. Not enough investment in people capability. Too much focus on day-to-day firefighting without an eye for the future.

    Advice to Management

Be willing to take short term losses for long-term gain. Set an expectation for the level of performance expected to be completed while employees are on the job and hold all employees to that expectation.
