I have been working at Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Gaining experience in a governmental organization with huge portfolio of events where I have gained a lot of experience in sales and marketing.

    Cons

Emiratization and sometimes takes long time to be promoted in big organizations and it is always a challenge to prove yourself

    Advice to Management

Sometimes the amout of experience gained over the years is more important than lots of certificates and diplomas and no experience

I have been working at Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) full-time

    Pros

    1. working hours
    2. Good Bonuses

    Cons

The highest level of discrimination I have ever encountered
if your an expat then you will be dominated by locals, you will have no rights and you will not get any promotion or increment.
you will work like a slave while locals get all the credit and promotions

Never join there, they put in their contract that if you resigned within 5 years they have the right to ban you.
you literally locked in jail, you cannot leave without harm nor getting recognized and appreciated

HR will never support you since they believe good connections with department heads is better than you, even MD's requests can be ignored and manipulated by HR.

they will terminate you without informing you or discussing it with you.
you have no respect or rights to be treated as a human

All I can say its a pure slavery and unfortunately am living it daily.

    Advice to Management

I really wish the MD or Sheikh can see how unfortunate and scared the expatriates are, how badly they are treated inside their government entity.
Expats are exiting the country with hatred because of the discrimination they received from the Emirati.
They have changed the whole culture of respect and care for expats
    1. The employees satisfaction survey is manipulated
    2. the reviews here are manipulated and fake

Just see any expat and call him for a meeting
assure him that nothing will happen to her/him
and you will hear the truth, hopefully I'll be the one to talk.
The one who started this slavery practice is the EVP-I&TF, and followed with pleasure and desires to dominate more and more by the VPs
Dewa used to be a better place. how unfortunate of what evil entered it
