I have been working at Duke Energy full-time

    Pros

Management is invested in your growth

    Cons

Management, however, has an interest in hiding pay ranges and granting piddling increases.

    Advice to Management

Make pay more transparent and in line with market rates for the IT market, otherwise you'll lose experienced people. Spend less on contracting, and more on internal talent. Screwing over longtime employees in the name of cutting costs is unconscionable given these inefficiencies.

I have been working at Duke Energy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay is top rate for the area. Don't really know any other pros. Most of the people there are good to work with.

    Cons

Old technology. Very boring ridged work processes. Every job is heavy on procedures and paper work which really kills the enjoyment of working here. I do understand the reasoning behind it though.
