    I worked at Duke-NUS part-time

    Pros

You get paid for two hours minimum every time you go in, even if you only put in an hour or less. The teachers and students are all very nice and professional.

    Cons

You have to memorize a lot of information. There isn't much prior notice of when jobs are coming, so you can't rely on this as a stable source of income.

I have been working at Duke-NUS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Duke-NUS provides intellectual freedom, a competitive salary and good facilities. Of-course much of it depends on your lab PI and colleagues.

    Cons

Just like any government institution, there is a lot of red tape. The functional rules and structures are rigid which generally results in wasted time.

    I worked at Duke-NUS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

cant really think of much.... probably the location is good?

    Cons

    - Most terrible workplace and management I've ever since (pertaining to my own dept)
    - company supposed to have flexible working hours but my boss didnt approve all our requests
    - company allowed working from home once a week, however, all our dept staff were issued a desktop, so how to work from home?
    - paper work all the way, very environmental unfriendly
    - very very manual work, no system for databases
    - super micromanagement style
    - very inefficient

    Advice to Management

No advice, dont think u will ever want to change
