I have been working at Duke University Health System full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits, nice employees in my building, overtime opportunities

    Cons

Poor pay, very outdated and hard to navigate website that I was expected to know how to use within the first week, rude HR and IT people, and have to PAY for parking? It's like I'm having to pay for the ability to work here.

    Advice to Management

Employees should not have to pay to park.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Duke University Health System

    Pros

Duke has a group of extremely talented researchers. The DUHS fosters an environment which encourages researchers to work together in multidisciplinary projects.

    Cons

Some of the lowest medical pay in the area - which is common for top tier medical schools (the better the school - lower the pay). They are constantly making and breaking promises, even those in writing in an offer letter!

    Advice to Management

Keep your promises to the people you hire. Create an environment where being "mentored" truly means having a good interaction with a mentor interesting in helping you succeed.
