I worked at Dunkin' Brands full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Benefits and 1/2 day Fridays

    Cons

Senior Management and Human Resources are a complete joke

    Advice to Management

The place is like a cult, they literally have stickers in the elevators that say "Are You All In", as in are you drinking the coolade or Coolatta I should say. Human Resources is a complete joke, they are more worried about image than truth. They would rather fire anyone supervisors, middle managers than a proven problem employee in fear of the truth that not everything at Dunkin Brands is Sprinkles and Rainbow Sherbert.. The most condescending bunch I have ever worked with and a VP that literally says "Do you know who I am", I am your bosses, boss, really......Benefits are great, other than that run for the hills -

I worked at Dunkin' Brands full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits package, including company car, 3 weeks vacation for new employees, strong insurance package, good tech tools and support.

    Cons

Very poor employee development, no effective talent identification. Employees not based at or near corporate offices in Canton are largely ignored. Very difficult to grow or be selected for promotions.
Also, regional management is very weak on actual restaurant experience. Senior leadership out of Canton is very impressed with themselves.

I worked at Dunkin' Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People were friendly. Coffee. Donuts. Bagels. Coffee. Donuts. Bagels. Brightly colored walls. Refrigerator to put your lunch bag.

    Cons

Hired to do X, and when I got there, was told I'd be doing Y. The ole bait n switch.

Old-school management mentality. Micromanagement. No room for creativity and innovation.

Slow paced. Very slow paced. Leadership and employees do no embrace change.

Clock watchers. " Behind-in-chair" mentality. telecommuting, working from home was frowned upon.

Leaving early on Friday was a "benefit"...but don't bother leaving early on Friday, that's frowned upon too.

    Advice to Management

No one ever listened when opinions/advice was provided when I worked there. Not even worth filling this section in...

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like human beings.

I worked at Dunkin' Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the specific projects I worked on were interesting; half day Friday's year round

    Cons

The culture and work environment here is very corporate
Horrible internal communication within groups and among different groups
    Sweat shop
    Low pay and long hours
High pressure and high stress culture
Employees are like robots - no employee engagement - employees are not valued
You'll get promoted if you work 60 hours per week
Colleagues will throw you under the bus to save themselves
You have to conform to the "Dunkin' way" and how they do things or they'll force you out
No Collaboration - everyone is in it for themselves

    Advice to Management

Hire leaders that enforce open communication and that care about their employees as people, not robots who crank out work.

I worked at Dunkin' Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Industry best analytics and predictive capabilities. Iconic Brand name. Dedicated, smart and focused field force.

    Cons

Lip service to "life/work" balance. Way too focused (as a public company) on predicting financial numbers to the point of over-pressuring field staff and over-burdening them with forecasting. Hard to acheive resuts when you spend so much time on "corporate forecasting needs and reports" vs actually focusing on the job at hand! Lip service also to "field support" from the corporate office. No loyalty to their people or their committment to help grow their people.
