I worked at Dunnhumby full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Have potential to grow as operational costs are being cut. New talent might bring new ideas given that they have the authority

    Cons

Graduates with experience only in the protected world of dunnhumby are making decisions based on half cooked ideology. There is no one to look up to in the organization some one to inspire. They are stuck with mediocrity.

    Advice to Management

Hire new leaders to manage the transition. The employees need inspiration and leaders with industry experience. Stop worshiping the graduates you hire, they are living in a bubble of dh. Project management can be improved dramatically.

I worked at Dunnhumby full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Salary band and tax savings (for manager and above)
Work-life balance (though sometimes it can be tricky, but still better than industry)
No in-out time (I hate it but others loves it, so adding it as Pros)
Growing India unit (a typical cost center)

    Cons

Incompetent middle- higher level management, actually a cozy club of old buddies
They just fired their CEO (actually Tesco)
India is struggling for its identity
Politics is now rooting up strongly
    Numerous example of favoritism
"Yes boss" analyst get best in the cake
If you want to stick to the same job forever, probably this is the place

    Advice to Management

dh was an exciting place until the "real" owner left and "some" incompetent people took over. It's now all about favoritism and who shout the loudest.
Not sure if management will ever acknowledge how incompetent they are.
