    Pros

Company values are central to working at the company. Many people are smart and genuinely great people. Good benefits, including minimum 25 days vacation

    Cons

Timely execution of stated plans can be a bit off. Executive team doesn't appear to be accountable. Much talk, little action. Central UK costs way too high for what is needed.

    Advice to Management

Be bold. Be accountable. Focus on doing a few things well. Celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit. Learn to be much better at timely execution.

    Pros

Smart, highly intelligent employees who are client facing; brilliant analysts who can code & know the data.

    Cons

UK attempts to control US; recent loss of CEO has caused many to rethink the leadership & what direction will dunnhumby will take for the future. The new marketing team is about numbers & not listening to the client requests. HR lead in UK is blundering, and hasn't a clue to laws in other countries; US HR Lead has no people skills & seems to confuse people vs help them. The values once lived by dunnhumby have taken a back seat to HR trying to control how the values are lived.

    Advice to Management

Be accountable for plans put in place; Please remember it is people not systems that have made dunnhumby successful.

    Pros

Great pay / benefits. Excellent working environment.

    Cons

Global structure can create communication challenges. Business environment has changed to more of a start-up company. Excellent opportunity for development and growth.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate, communicate, communicate!

    Pros

Great time off and tons of vacations

    Cons

Not even consider work here. They change direction every week. All managers in UK but they are not real managers. Those managers hired from India to become global manager in UK. Managers do not have experience how to handle employees.

    Advice to Management

Do not all your managers to control US employees. UK managers do not know about culture here

Working with some truly innovative science
Most day-to-day colleagues are cool and down-to-earth
Not much pressure to perform in many roles

    Cons

    Mediocre executive leadership
In certain offices, pay is not equal to market
Progress comes at a glacial place
    Not many growth opportunities

    Advice to Management

Pick a direction and stick with it. And say what you mean - no need to sugarcoat anything.

An Analyst's heaven. Tons of hands on training cross industry and functions. Smart colleagues to collaborate with. Hands on upper management. Great Company!

    Cons

There was really nothing negative to say here. I would work for them again in a heartbeat.

I worked at Dunnhumby full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Tons of vacation
    - Pretty great work / life balance
    - People you work with are pretty nice
    - There are people that truly want to change things. Seek them out and become friends with them.

    Cons

    - Lack of speed to innovate
    - Inability to innovate
    - It's not 2005 anymore. Do not run a company like it is.
    - Do everything 10X faster than it currently happens.

    Advice to Management

Replace a good number of senior managers that are "coasting". Bring in real innovators that will shock the system. Just because we did something a way a few years ago doesn't mean we should continue to do the same thing.

I worked at Dunnhumby (More than 3 years)

    Pros

NY office is well situated for lunch spots.
    The building is nice.
If you get a chance to work with people in Cincinnati, you are lucky. They are some of the best people in the company. Super bright, friendly, helpful, and know how to get the job done.
The health, 401k matching, and vacations definitely overindex as fantastic for nyc.

    Cons

Analytics has the highest turnover for g3s in the company, so beware ambitious analysts looking to grow your career here.
True friendships across coworkers in nyc are seldom found.
Very large gap in salary between management and everyone else, not justified by the effort put in or knowledge/relationships this group owns. Expect to be looped out of meetings regularly, as this is common practice to stronghold the existing status quo.

    Advice to Management

Learn to reward your analytical community, not just appreciate them verbally. This is especially a strong message, given that you brand yourself a data science company.

    Pros

Fantastic culture of curiosity and pushing clients to be better based on customer data. Values people. Awarded best places to work for many years in a row.

    Cons

When Kroger bought most of the US business (84.51), very little was left to the company. They essentially have to start from scratch and build an new client portfolio.

    Advice to Management

Don't live in the past - make your future. This will be a critical strategic shift for them. They need to reinvent Customer 1st again.
