    Pros

This company, and most employees, truly believe in the work they perform for their customers. They strive for work life balance and my experience with various management teams was always positive.

    Cons

Processes can sometimes be too rigid. Some flexibility may have a more positive effect.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at DynCorp International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

While everyone's experience is different, these are my opinions.
-Manager is awesome. Motivating, helpful, understanding. Best I've ever had.
-Flexible schedule allows to have the work/life balance I need.
-Opportunities to grow and move up/around.
-Tuition reimbursement is a plus, but you have to be here two years afterward otherwise you have to pay it back.. so pretty standard.
-Pay is competitive, not as great as Lockheed, L3, Raytheon, etc., but close. And there are many things that make up for the small pay shortfall.

    Cons

-As with any government contractor, layoffs can be high depending on what department you are in. Luckily, I am in a pretty secure area.
-Health insurance is now ONLY an HSA plan as of this year.

    Advice to Management

Do some company wide events or lunches every once in a while. Everyone is so separated by program and department I haven't hardly met anyone outside of my group. Would be nice to have a little more of a team feeling. Other than that, keep up the good work.

    Cons

Management have no clue what they are doing.its a total chaos. We are losing contract because some recruiters can't and will not be able to deliver results. A lot of nepotism still around.

    Advice to Management

Get training on how to manage civilians or go retire

    Pros

Nothing at all. Working in a forced labor camp would be better.

    Cons

Company treats people like cattle. Unless you are a pal or crony. Then you can break every rule and sop in the book and even get promoted for it.

    Advice to Management

Nothing to say, like talking to a box of rocks. They don't care one bit. Employees mean nothing.

    Pros

Co-Workers were great people who truly care!

    Cons

Company lacks the ability or leadership to move forward to the 21st century. Systems and process are over 20 years old tech. Instead, they throw people at problems, then lay them off once or twice a year as a replacement method from actually performance managing and rewarding top performers. High lack of mentorship, lack of job progression, focus or career path.

    Advice to Management

get the stomach to centralize your systems, instead of wasting money on band-aids, performance manage your employees, and eliminate waste and manual effort. You would make more money in the long run.
