    Pros

Pay and the option to sell back unused vacation days was a bonus. Always paid on time bi weekly decent amount of paid time off.

    Cons

Benefits. For such a big contracting company, you would think they could offer people with families a more competitive insurance plan, instead you only get a high deductible plan that’s expensive.

    Advice to Management

    Take better care of employees

    Pros

Like any other organization they have good points and bad points. A lot of it depends on your local project management once you arrive on site. The HR department usually does a great job. Travel is reimbursed which is nice since you have control. Work hard, save your money and learn to add value and you will be fine.

    Cons

    Project management can be stagnant.

    Advice to Management

Give opportunity for the new people to grow.

I have been working at DynCorp International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This company is filled with good people who are mission driven and always try and do the right thing by our customer

    Cons

But there is an individual in executive management, the Chief Administrative Officer, whose abhorrent behavior can only be characterized as abusive and operates in a way that is the complete opposite of our stated corporate values and culture. The frequent anger filled rants, degrading comments, and personal attacks on employees have gone on for years. Personally I have been on the receiving end of these tirades and have confronted the individual directly as have others. The behavior is indicative of an abusive, serial bully but it is allowed to continue. It is an atrocity that this individual is in a leadership capacity and sends a terrible message to the rest of the employee population. This behavior has been highlighted on numerous occasions yet parent company Cerberus is reluctant to take the proper action and terminate this individual from the company. The lost business and number of employees who have left the company because of this is innumerable and continues to put Dyncorp at great risk.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach and do the right thing.
