I have been working at DynCorp International full-time

    Pros

DynCorp won and took over the contract I was already on.

    Cons

Problems with the website to enroll for benefits, taxes weren't taken out of paycheck, lack of response from corporate personnel to resolve the problems.

    Advice to Management

Reach out to the employees every once in a while and present yourself. I've been working on this contract for over 10 years, but now that DynCorp took it over, all management has changed and I don't know who is even running this thing.

I have been working at DynCorp International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Currently, I have no pros.

    Cons

Health benefits cost way too much and spouses are not included unless they do not have access to healthcare. The morale is extremely low and management believes their people should be grateful they have jobs. Process change is needed, but either they don't want to change or they don't know how to implement it. So, they don't and tasks are left undone. Doing more with less is the vision, but the worker bees are tired and burned out.

    Advice to Management

Respect your people and listen to them. They have great ideas. Remember: your people will make you look good, but its a two-way street. Learn how to lead and grow your people, not just manage them. Subscribe to the Harvard Business Review for leadership methods that work, because what you're doing is causing people to leave. Also, consider what it take to be competitive in recruiting. The millennials have hit the workforce and they will not tolerate a lack of innovation or opportunities to make an impact. The good 'ole boy mentality will no longer work. Remember: loyalty is earned.
