I have been working at DynCorp International (More than 3 years)

    Pros

company benefits not to bad, pay for my area pretty good, and can be a stable place if you are a good worker and follow all guidelines & SOP's. Absolutely loved this company for years.

    Cons

Very discouraging company these past couple of years.
It's very difficult to move up unless you know and are friendly with upper management, or you are new to the company. IE.(fresh out of the army, and even then normally a DynCorp employee helps that person get a job) after watching 7+ people get promoted before someone who has been wanting promoted and is qualified to be promoted through the upward mobility packet system, plus company seniority over those people that are placed above them kind of discourages people from staying with a company as a career choice.

    Advice to Management

stick to the upward mobility packet system you put into place and stop listening to managers input on how well the temp they put into place is doing. Because in actuality it's the people under those people who do the job that should get the credit and the promo's.

I worked at DynCorp International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Meaningful payment hourly and overtime considered.

    Cons

When it comes to downsizing their workforce, they considered desc-oping their newly employed personnel rather than those who had served for long denying them the opportunity to amass some savings.

    Advice to Management

Consider newly employed personnel when Desc-ope exercises are on process.
