    Pros

Great co-workers, wonderful manager and challenging work. I enjoyed my time there and felt that I was working with intelligent people.

    Cons

The war market at the time was hot. Without the country sending 100k+ troops overseas it will be difficult for this company to succeed.

I worked at DynCorp International (More than a year)

    Pros

Working on installations in hostile environments with US Forces on site for protection. Ability to get mail and Internet service was fairly decent. R&R every 120 days was very nice. Tax Free exemption up to the maximum allowable limit on salary. If you are up to it this is a great way to take care of a lot of financial responsible in a short amount of time legally.

    Cons

Policy and procedures would change before there was an opportunity to see whether what was implemented would truly be effective or not.

    Advice to Management

Trust the advice of the frontline managers more. If middle and senior management is ineffective time and time again re-assign them to a task they ccan handle and make way for personnel that can make the big decisions and execute in a timely and efficient manner.

    Pros

Co-Workers are the best. The location was really close to home. My program was able to work 1 day a week from home. Love the sound of the jets flying over.

    Cons

I work on a Government contract. The CO was really hard to deal with. There is not much room for growth.

    Pros

Great People to work with. I like the location. Great sense of pride

    Cons

No raises - When employees leave, they do not replace the employees. We have not had a true raise in over 3 years.

I worked at DynCorp International (Less than a year)

    Pros

First, and foremost...You get paid on time, every time! In all of my time with Dyncorp, there were no problems with pay...ever. The logistical support was great. If you are out in the field, and are in need of anything, they made sure you had it ASAP.

    Cons

It is a very large company, and at times you'll feel like a number. Also...Dyncorp is known to be "The Lowest Bidder", which is another way of saying the they are one of the lowest paying contracting companies out there.

    Advice to Management

A person touch goes a long way.

    Pros

You can move up the ladder but it takes a long time and the right management above you. The people are really nice to work with here and there is a company culture and some good best practices in use.

    Cons

Business is so dynamic that you do not know what to expect each day. This can be good if you like face paced environments but bad if you do not like change.

    Advice to Management

Trust your people that have been there forever.

    Cons

DynCorp is a military contractor; therefore, you are at risk to contracts and government shut downs and or reductions.
