    Pros

Steady hours, steady paycheck, great people to work with, some travel for conferences, overtime granted when needed. Able to relocate to other offices when a position becomes available. Veteran friendly!

    Cons

Great company with good pay ensures low turn over, which leaves not much room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Continue what you are doing in making DynCorp International a successful company.

I worked at DynCorp International (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good pay, Good hours, good equipment

    Cons

Benefits high, Not very undersanding for time off (p-time), buddy system management, if your not 'in' you never advance

    Advice to Management

lose the buddy system and quit micro managing. And when an Employee cant pass a security clearnace a simple NACI, they shouldnt be employed and quit inventing positions for ones like that. Im sure you know of whom I speak as he is upper management and can't even get on base..

"Very Challenging Business - But Opportunities For Improvement"

Current Employee - Executive in McLean, VA

I have been working at DynCorp International full-time

    Pros

Great group of dedicated colleagues who are really focused on the mission of the customer. Our new CEO is a good fit for the company, but the leadership void created by parent company Cerberus took its toll over the past couple of years. There are some promising business prospects out there if the company can brand itself and right size properly.

    Cons

Many good and talented people have left the company or been pushed out. The strategic advisers, industry and government SME's who are paid an exorbitant amount of money, have developed scant new business. The two Managing Directors that are seconded to DynCorp add little demonstrative value, do not take the time to listen or care about the input from others, are very difficult to work with to the point of being toxic, and consistently exhibit behaviors in direct contrast to company values. As a long time employee, some fundamental changes need to be made to ensure the future success of the company.

Former Employee - Senior Business Manager in Arlington, TX

I worked at DynCorp International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Higher than average wages when compared to commercial equivalents. Good benefits - challenging work with opportunity to work on a variety of federal contracts throughout the world in demanding environments

    Cons

lots of turnover among executive management leading to a lack of sustained direction - always pressure to find the next big win in the federal sector and a revolving door of VPs which are typically cronies of whomever is at the top at any given moment

I worked at DynCorp International (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and a chance to travel. Some down-time to work on personal items of interest. Many types of positions available. A chance to meet some interesting people, and great for creating a network.

    Cons

Most of these positions should not to be confused with a lifetime career. I would only recommend these positions to people that are looking for some great pay for a short duration of employment. Austere environment type of living.

    Advice to Management

Hire people that are able to perform their duties based upon their skill set and experience, and not by whom they know.
