Pros
I was happy to join this company because I felt excited about the tech and the future opportunities for the industry as well as feeling that the company had many positive reviews here. Generally, the product is in fact truly interesting and there seem to be opportunities for the company to do well and grow. There are some execs that have joined that make me feel positive about the leadership, and I think they want to make this a good place to work in a genuine way. I enjoy some strong relationships with coworkers cross functionally. I feel like the people that I personally work with want to do the right things and help the company be successful. The benefits and compensation are generous/strong - I appreciate what the company is offering in that arena. I am usually happy I am member of Dynatrace and I tend to want to work here for the long term.
Cons
It will 100 percent depend on where you work and who your manager and SVP are in terms of the actual day to day. That is like any other place. I would suggest you really try to understand that culture -- your work life balance and how you are treated on the daily will really vary depending on that. Be prepared if you are working with Sales to have a lot of inconsistency as to how people talk to you and treat you, not a lot of oversight there. A common challenge at the water cooler is that the company is doing things they always did in the past and haven't evolved processes, and you need to talk to too many people to get an answer - slows things down, is frustrating. Another item is that certain departments and regions are not accountable and are not action-orientated - will attend calls but not follow through. Right now there is a negative feeling coming from being asked to answer surveys but then feeling not heard, and being asked to review the company as a best place to work and then once that was over, changes were made to the remote work model. There are many people who feel that management will say "we are looking into that" but then not take effective clear action. An example is that it is really hard to work in office due to the workspaces but I think they've been saying they are looking into that for the last few years. I feel the company is "clicky" and hierarchial for a tech company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. While we are glad to hear about your positive thoughts on our product, culture, and leadership, we are sorry to hear of your negative experience. We do not tolerate unequal treatment of any kind, as we invest in the training and development of our people managers, helping them build team environments that are respectful, collaborative, and appreciative. Your personal well-being is crucial for us, which is why we've put efforts into benefits like wellness days, flexible work models, and PTO programs. Our revised work model was a cross-functional team effort. It provides remote work flexibility with the unique advantages of in-person collaboration. Through the implementation of two in-office anchor days, our goal is to establish a more robust balance between remote work and the camaraderie of valuable in-person interactions. Alongside this, we're upgrading in-office amenities and enhancing our benefits, among other initiatives. We encourage you to discuss your concerns with your Direct Lead, and we have shared your feedback with our People & Culture leadership.
