I have been working at E.ON full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good place to have a stable job, good work-life balance, people/culture is generally relaxed, company is flexible with location and hours

    Cons

Management is too risk-averse leading to very slow growth; technologically backward leading to day-to-day frustrations; teams are silo-ed and do not work together well; solar and storage departments neglected

    Advice to Management

Give importance to all 3 technologies supported, listen to employees giving feedback and potential solutions and act on them to retain talent, encourage team work

I worked at E.ON full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great pay, great benefits, great flexibility, (most of) middle management genuinely cares about their teams.

    Cons

They run really lean. There isn't much of a work life balance in the accounting/finance side of the business. You'll be working an average of 50 hours a week and when you go on vacation expect to be working. They have either too little or too many controls depending on the situation. Everything runs through Germany. The lean staff and lack of cross training always causes chaos when a staff member is out. There are some members of management who hold bureaucratic power that are genuinely rude and treat employees like they're worthless.

Former Employee - Management in Austin, TX

I worked at E.ON full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Excellent benefits, 401K, Holidays, vacation. Very good Compensation. If you get a job offer here take it for the money. They will work you to death, never notice and never take your advice.

    Cons

Sexist, could never get headcount. Hired as an expert and advice was not heeded. Shoot the messenger attitude.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your experts.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at E.ON full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Friendly people and great work environment. There are social events, fulfilling work, and most everyone knows to work as a team.

    Cons

A lot of decisions run through Germany. The departments are also a bit isolated from each other which can lead to duplicate work. There is also a habit of overworking employees.

    Advice to Management

Improved communication efforts and cross department coordination should be encouraged.
