I have been working at E.ON full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay relative to the market, good benefits(for now), good people

    Cons

Too many layers of upper management in Germany, lack of meaningful communication, no career growth potential, lower level employees are often work or are asked to be available on off days

    Advice to Management

Management in the US must learn to say no to German management's excessive and duplicate requests and "initiatives". Management in Germany need to stop "grasping at straws" to develop a viable strategy for the company going forward.

    Pros

The company is at a nice location! And people are nice here. They are willing to help you and answer your questions.

    Cons

I am not sure about cons for this company. It feels like everything is good. But if you are an accounting major student, CPA firms will give you more experience.

    Advice to Management

My supervisor is great! She is a nice person and willing to help me grow. She provides me some advice for my future career.

  7. "Neutral view but it's a good field to be in"

    Pros

The North America sector of the business has a entrepreneurial attitude and wants to continuously expand into new markets.

    Cons

Growth is restricted by parent entity in Germany. Teams work as lean as possible due to parent company views on head count numbers.

    Advice to Management

Hard to give management any advice because I understand that there is only so much they can do with upper management ultimately in control.

I have been working at E.ON (Less than a year)

    Pros

Diverse group of professionals with a passion for the work they do.

    Cons

North American management team often finds their hands tied with executive management being in Germany. Extremely lean staff; lack of administrative support.

    Advice to Management

Identify talent within your team and utilize those talents where best fit.

    I worked at E.ON full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved my former colleagues the four years that I worked at E.ON. Was constantly inspired by the intelligence and capabilities of my peers when I worked there. I was always proud of the work that I did and was happy to contribute to the team. Compensation and severance packages were very generous. Overall I had a positive experience working for the company.

    Cons

Internal processes move very slowly. It is a German utility after all and has German attitudes and mindsets. The German processes we had to adopt slowed the pace of business enormously, which is not unique to a smaller company that gets acquired by a large multinational player.

    Advice to Management

    Capitalize on internal talent organization-wide.

I have been working at E.ON (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting work and at a time was a fun place to be with potential for a real career growth

    Cons

Parent company's troubles affected ECRNA decision making ability. Most promotions seemed political rather than merit based. Senior management ECRNA from CEO and down seemed to just dance to their German masters' tune than having any plan or vision of their own

    Advice to Management

Hang in there it can only improve(?)
