    great location

    Cons

slow moving, the team did not execute things quickly. Most projects were done over weeks. This is partly because of poor communication between departments

    Pros

I like the people. Etrade helped me at an important time in my life, with a career change. Benefits. I got back on my feet. They earned my loyalty. Also, career path is there is you are skilled, smart and patient.

    Cons

Smaller company with pains associated with growing into a bigger company. Always have the threat of a takeover from a big predator. Management training is weak and can be improved

    Advice to Management

    Get buy in of employees

I worked at E*TRADE Financial (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Training, Great Co-Workers, Abundant Overtime if wanted

    Cons

Clientale can be absolutely savage, the day traders especially. There is a lot phone based customer service that isn't necessarily financial services. Be prepared to walk older clients through on how to use the internet and here them complain about how the website is too complicated on one call, then get yelled by a day trader about the website not having complex enough tools to execute his more than likely losing strategy on another call.

    Advice to Management

Wish I had words for improvement, but a lot of the problems are just the nature of the job

    Pros

Benefits are great. The company culture is very professional.

    Cons

It's a call-center job. So, depending on the team you end up on, you could end up feeling very micro-managed.

    Advice to Management

Provide more stock grants to employees.

    Pros

Probably the best thing about working here is Unlimited OT especially during tax season. It lets you have some control over pay.

    Cons

I would say the worst part of the job is that it is extremely Micro managed. You are being watched 100% of the time at work.

They are growing and new opportunities are always popping up. Work hard and be personable with people and you can find promotional opportunities. Always be studying for your next certificate.

    Cons

Must be proactive to get to know people.

    Advice to Management

Be personable to everyone - not just the folks you're acquainted with.
