    Advice to Management

provide management training, set up offices for younger generations, be more call central and less email reliant.

I worked at EBI Consulting full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The only selling point is that you can work from home in certain cases (but you end up working all the time).
A lot of travel is required, you learn to multi-task, working on planes and in airports.

    Cons

Working remotely does not allow for professional development within or outside the company.
Sink or swim mentality - no management help in emergency situations.
Poor benefits package - you must pay for everything including internet access (no home office reimbursement).
Zero employee engagement - management doesn't even call to discuss performance reviews (only poor ones).
Managers are chosen for work production capabilities, not people-skills.
All jobs are counted equally including ones with long travel times (and/or delays) and high levels of difficulty (accessing high roofs and/or problematic sites) you need to hit your yearly project goal or you will get fired.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are your most valuable asset, if you want them to present the company in a good light you need to engage them. Unfortunately, most managers only call to scold employees for minor infractions. Minimal attempts to gather folks together to foster camaraderie. Managers disregard travel time, vacation and other time off and contact employees with work requests regardless of if you are on vacation or in an airplane. High turnover is the result.

    Pros

Work from home at times... Flexible schedule, new HR hopefully will make a d

    Cons

Upper management doesn't exist. Unreal how important they believe they are. No one in finance makes it a year, they can all see the cons

    Advice to Management

Get over yourself, remember if it wasn't for your employees you'd be nowhere.

I worked at EBI Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - New leadership HR and Marketing are bringing in new, positive energy to the company, lots of new initiatives to engage employees
    - Working remote and flexibility is great

    Cons

    - Lots of young professional/midprofessional turnover. Wages are not competitive with market and upper management doesnt seem to notice that a lot of good employees are leaving
    - Some, not all, managers are not suited to be managers and require training to be effective. Upper management only cares about the numbers coming in and disregards overall group moral. Some managers should stick to what they are good at, whether in sales, technical, or other. Often managers are given the role based on the family owners of the company , not whether they are good fit for the job.
    - Poor annual review process. System in place for employees to provide their review, but no accountability for if managers actually sit down with employees and talk about their progress over the years
    - Exit interview is not in-person or over the phone, it is a online form that you fill out. While it might save time, seems very impersonal

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing to stay competitive in wages, benefits, and overall employee engagement. Has potential to be a great company, but there are a few issues standing in the way.

    Pros

Great people, super friendly and supportive. Lots of travel if you like that sort of thing. Great independence. Telecommute

    Cons

Poor work life balance. Not compensated adequately for the time spent travelling. Lots of travel, if you don't like that sort of thing.

    Advice to Management

keep up the good work and keep supporting the staff. Keep pushing for upper management to compensate for travel time.
