I have been working at EC Infosystems full-time

    Pros

I am glad to have started my real world experiences at EC Infosystems. I always had amazing mentors. The company gave me opportunities to not only interact with internal staff but also made it possible for me to get comfortable communicating with external stakeholders. I love taking on new challenges and EC Infosystems has given me opportunities in learning, in innovation, in leading and last but not the least in having fun at the same time! If learning is what really matters to you, EC Infosystems is the right place to start your career and look forward to an amazing journey in the energy industry.

    Pros

None; other than some of the other employees who are good people in a bad situation (until they can find another job). Stay far away from this place.

    Cons

Those 2 quotes above are from another employee who quit after 1 week. They kind of say it all.
One employee who was hired as a programmer but told to sit in an office and watch a monitor for errors left without notice and didn't even come back for his paycheck!
The only job I ever had that was worse than this was the company where one boss shot the other dead then killed himself. This place is the most …

    Advice to Management

There is nothing anyone can say that will stop them abusing their employees; maybe a class-action lawsuit. All I can say is upper management does not understand basic economics, as they don't seem to understand there is a time cost to constantly interviewing and hiring and teaching new employees (teaching is barely done anyway), and they don't understand it costs them to lose institutional knowledge when long-time …

    Pros

Your first 6 months are great as long as you are sheltered from certain individuals.

    Cons

Certain management is downright rude and arrogant.
There are specific individuals at the company who ruin the atmosphere for knowledgeable resources. The culture is lacking, the few perks aren't worth staying to be abused and yelled at. If you take pride in what you do, do not work here, you will be beaten down and told you don't know what you are doing regardless of experience. Also, don't be a minority or female, these don't help you escape the abuse. Most employees just shut down and productivity is only gained through fear tactics. If you don't do things the way management dictates you will get yelled at or chastised. Insurance is terrible and benefits are lacking. For a company this size, you would expect better benefits. Also this information was not given upfront during interviews and by the time we learned all the issues, it was too late to back out.

    Advice to Management

You are letting things fall in the crack. Clients will continue to leave if development items are not managed properly. Be grateful for the great people who still work at the company; if you value them, you will see your profits soar.

I have been working at EC Infosystems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    You have a job!!
If you can service in EC Infosystems, you can survive anywhere in USA.

    Cons

Company's product is software but employees treated here like they are working in an Iron factory. Because of couple of people, total company work environment ruined. Specially an Indian manager, who really don't know how to talk with an employees. I am your boss type of attitude all the time!

    Advice to Management

Because of 1 or 2 people and their negative attitude towards employees, overall productivity getting down. In software industry, productivity not depends on how many hours one work , its depends how concentrate / caring an employee is. The person who can finish one ticket in 2 days, spending 5/10 times more time behind the same ticket. Because of that last 2/3 year more employee hired for the same amount of work as before! No employee will give you advice or suggestion in your suggestion box. just read glassdoor reviews and take action.
and please advise your people who write 5 star reviews in this site, those reviews looks really funny!
Advice to CEO: Please be involved personally to improve company environment for better productivity.

    Pros

You have a Job! Salary on time! Some good co-worker!
Specious dinning area! Good parking space! Nice office building! Birthday party every month!

    Cons

    * You can be fired/warned for unnecessary( In management point of view) walking, talking, laughing, texting.......

    * No respect for Employees

    * Management don't know how to treat employees for better productivity

    * 100% of the employees praying everyday so that they can change the job

    * Mostly H1B people work here. Some US citizens works here because they feel like they will not get better positions outside.

    * US Citizens gets fired more then H1B people. They sponsor H1B employees so that they don't fire them.

    * NO work/life balance policy ( They don't know what is that mean)

    Advice to Management

Advice will never work but still ...
There are many ways to increase productivity. Please do some research.
You have enough manpower, learn how to utilize that.
Respect your employees for your own good.
Please Make sure directors and manager treats the employees well.
Employees want to feel like its their company, please let them feel like it is.
Employees are not ungrateful, they want to write good reviews.

This is the same company which made sure people came to work even when Sandy happened. You have to be at work for 9 hours with one hour (unpaid) break.

Insurance is terrible, no 401K matching.

    Advice to Management

Be professional and not scumbag company

    Pros

None. Just walk away. If you have pride, don't work here.

    Cons

Executive Staff is petty and childish, starting from the top down. No one is safe. If you are not in line with their requests, you are gone in the blink of an eye. There is no loyalty, no consideration and very humiliating environment. Directors yell at employees for all to hear. Raises and reviews are delayed for months, No one is respected. Over 50% of employees have a visa so leaving to go to another company is not so easy, visa paperwork is held back and when you ask for update, you are pushed away for bothering them. Employees are blamed for all sorts of problems that have nothing to do with them. Overtime is not paid to any employee when they work after hours. Employees are scared to complain because of visas. Even the folks that are good to work with are held back from treating employees good because of constant interference by Administrative staff. Email is monitored and reviewed by senior staff and disappears from mailbox. Cameras on the floor are used to view employees while working and to track employees coming and going. No leave allowed when someone in the family pass away. No supplies available or hidden so you don't use them. Only two shared printers for over 100 employees. Crazy place to work!

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees to do their job. Allow directors to manage their groups without constant butting in. A new office is not going to make a better work place. Don't make employees pay for coffee.

I worked at EC Infosystems full-time

    Pros

None unless you want a 830 to 530 job and is fine with working at an abusive environment

    Cons

The people whom you work with are very nice but the people whom you work for are pathetic.

In your very first week you will be warned of a certain director and manager by other employees. Stay away from them as much as possible. It is a wonder how the CEO who is also the owner has allowed them to continue so long and/or is blissfully unaware of the damage they are causing.

The attrition rate is more than 50% on any given year and the numerous job postings are mostly for replacement hires(since they know existing employees will leave or be fired).

The immigration policy is the worst and there have been instances of the work permit approval receipts being delayed or not being given.

    Advice to Management

Change your way or the US government will shut you down

    Pros

Growing company, Good compensation, flexible, growth opportunities. CEO and upper management are listening to employee feedback and working to make positive changes and a good work environment. Although you may be hired for one position they take into account what you like to do and try to incorporate that into your job.

    Cons

Working thru some growing pains. Need to continue on the current path of improving business processes.

    Advice to Management

Since I have been with the company, I have seen a lot of positive changes in the structure of the organization and it seems that you are listening to your employees. Continue to invest in your employees and take time to make a positive work environment and come out of the office to get to know who is working for you. A happy employee is a loyal employee.
