I have been working at EC Infosystems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Growing company, Good compensation, flexible, growth opportunities. CEO and upper management are listening to employee feedback and working to make positive changes and a good work environment. Although you may be hired for one position they take into account what you like to do and try to incorporate that into your job.

    Cons

Working thru some growing pains. Need to continue on the current path of improving business processes.

    Advice to Management

Since I have been with the company, I have seen a lot of positive changes in the structure of the organization and it seems that you are listening to your employees. Continue to invest in your employees and take time to make a positive work environment and come out of the office to get to know who is working for you. A happy employee is a loyal employee.

I worked at EC Infosystems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

None. Just walk away. If you have pride, don't work here.

    Cons

Executive Staff is petty and childish, starting from the top down. No one is safe. If you are not in line with their requests, you are gone in the blink of an eye. There is no loyalty, no consideration and very humiliating environment. Directors yell at employees for all to hear. Raises and reviews are delayed for months, No one is respected. Over 50% of employees have a visa so leaving to go to another company is not so easy, visa paperwork is held back and when you ask for update, you are pushed away for bothering them. Employees are blamed for all sorts of problems that have nothing to do with them. Overtime is not paid to any employee when they work after hours. Employees are scared to complain because of visas. Even the folks that are good to work with are held back from treating employees good because of constant interference by Administrative staff. Email is monitored and reviewed by senior staff and disappears from mailbox. Cameras on the floor are used to view employees while working and to track employees coming and going. No leave allowed when someone in the family pass away. No supplies available or hidden so you don't use them. Only two shared printers for over 100 employees. Crazy place to work!

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees to do their job. Allow directors to manage their groups without constant butting in. A new office is not going to make a better work place. Don't make employees pay for coffee.

I worked at EC Infosystems full-time

    Pros

None unless you want a 830 to 530 job and is fine with working at an abusive environment

    Cons

The people whom you work with are very nice but the people whom you work for are pathetic.

In your very first week you will be warned of a certain director and manager by other employees. Stay away from them as much as possible. It is a wonder how the CEO who is also the owner has allowed them to continue so long and/or is blissfully unaware of the damage they are causing.

The attrition rate is more than 50% on any given year and the numerous job postings are mostly for replacement hires(since they know existing employees will leave or be fired).

The immigration policy is the worst and there have been instances of the work permit approval receipts being delayed or not being given.

    Advice to Management

Change your way or the US government will shut you down

    Pros

One thing I learned from this company is you need a written proof(email) before work on any task your manager assign to you. It's because if any thing goes wrong and you dont have the proof, you will take blame all by yourself. But if you can survive from ECI, you can survive anywhere.

    Cons

I had worked there for over an year, I am the 56 employ leave the company. The compony has about 80 employees at that time. Their turnover rate is so high.

    Pros

Non-management coworkers are very nice people to work with.

    Cons

The management needs to learn how to manage people. They talk to you as if you are a child, they refuse to listen to any constructive criticism, even if it means good for the company. The office is overcrowded, no supplies, they have no idea how to do payroll.

    Advice to Management

Take management training courses! You need to learn how to speak to people in a professional manner!

    Pros

There is no pros with this company.

    Cons

They hire you on the name of EC infosystem and get the visa approval(h1B) but will put you in their sister concern jasmine universe(which doesn't have existence) on lower designation without asking. They do not give original petition approval and will not give you paper for visa stamping. They create environment like you are stuck with them.
They make you sit on the dusty places, where nobody cleans and dust is everywhere. They make you sick and will not approve sick leaves. Whenever you ask for anything, they don't have budget or need approval from their CEO Mohan and it will never approve.
There is no leave for initial 3 months, their is no drinking water in the facility, milk is always on shortage, refrigerator is always full, no drawer is provided to put your stuff, seating arrangement is worst, do not allow people to mingle, sr people always yelling at jr people, communication lack, worst HR- never reply on employee email, no work but high pressure to produce productive.
Please read all other reviews before considering this company. they are 100 percent genuine.

    Advice to Management

Please improve your HR policy, take care of your employees

I worked at EC Infosystems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are genuinely nice people who are good at their jobs here. Most of the employees want to succeed at their job and help the customer and their fellow coworkers.

Bathrooms in the building are large and very well maintained.

Office is located 5 minutes off the parkway.

The Roosevelt Field Mall is approximately 5 to 10 minutes away.

There is an in building gym facility, for a yearly fee.

There is a small cafeteria in the building if you forget to bring lunch.

    Cons

The highest turnover of any company I've worked at. This is due to people being let go but also due to many employees who leave on their own.

Technology used in software solutions gets the job done but is not current and will not draw many developers who are looking to continually grow in their skills.

The company does not match your 401k contributions. In my opinion this is an empty benefit.

There are no incentive based bonuses that I am aware of.

Poor technical documentation and project specifications. Employees must solve many issues in an ad-hoc fashion but because of turn over, the probability it is very likely that the knowledge of the solution will become lost in over time and another ad-hoc solution will need to be invented.

Important decisions such as hiring new employees or obtaining required software and hardware takes far too long. There is a general paralysis of decision making due to the many of these having to go through a specific Director.

Kitchen area is unsanitary. I've witnessed employees drop food and drink and walk away, or leave a used disposable cup or plate on the only table where employees can sit to eat. The garbage bins are insufficient for the number of employees working there. Everyday they will overflow over a foot above the rim of the bin and some garbage will inevitably fall on the surrounding floor.

Pests - Roaches have been found in the office outside of the kitchen in offices and cubicles. Employees have not been formally notified of the pest problem. Informing employees would assist in getting them to clean up after themselves.

The company charges employees for coffee.

The only source of filtered water has been out of service for several months.

Poor coordination and communication with employees. There is no system in place to handle office closures or delayed openings due to weather. Occasionally the company will provide a free breakfast to employees, seemingly at random times. This will never be communicated the day before so that employees know not to purchase lunch at the deli downstairs. Many times the breakfast will be served two hours after employees have been in the office.

There are cameras everywhere and they are not aimed just at entrances and exits but also just at areas where employees are seated.

There is no HR department. HR related tasks are spread among a multiple administrative employees who have other work that is not HR related.

    Advice to Management

This is a medium sized office with close to 100 employees and the CEO takes the time to interview almost every single potential hire. If he took 15 minutes to conduct an exit interview with employees that leave on their own initiative he would quickly gain the knowledge he needs to start fixing the reasons why so many leave.

Stop the micro management of employees who are, on paper, supposed to be decision makers in certain areas.

Implement a system of reviews, raises, performance based bonuses, and employee education. This will help to reward top performers while continuing to develop all employees and hopefully leading to a stronger company.

Stop pinching pennies by short ordering office and kitchen supplies. Saving several hundred dollars a month is definitely worth less than inconveniencing all of your employees multiple times per month. If someone goes to wash a mug and then there are no paper towels to dry off their hands, then this will lead to more and more mugs full of coffee and tea with sugar sitting out in the open overnight, attracting insects. Sometimes the bottom line should take a tiny hit to improve efficiencies, employee happiness, and general morale in the office.

Institute Casual Fridays in the summer. If there are no clients visiting on a specific day then send an email on Thursday confirming Casual Friday is in effect. Its a tiny gesture that costs the company $0 but it goes a long way towards employee happiness and building good will.
