I have been working at ECCO Sko full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Health benefits are robust and good for individuals and families.

    Cons

ECCO USA does not follow the "nice" work culture that ECCO Sko has in its headquarters in Denmark. The US does not get even close to the same amount of holidays or benefits and often the US is picking up the slack from DK being out all the time.
From 2016-2017 a large number of people have been laid off or quit in the US main office and those who are left are often made to work 3-4 people's worth of work and literally worked to tears.
In my time here I've seen literally at least a dozen people break down in tears at one time or another because they're being overworked and they know management doesn't care as long as the company can meet sales numbers. Employees in all departments are stretched thin with little hope that things will ever improve. Some are here working 10-12 hour days for weeks on end and management gets away with doing very little and getting paid way too much.
Also only a lucky few throughout the business in the US actually get opportunities to grow in their roles, you're either lucky enough to be in a good department or suck up to your manager so much that they have no choice but to recommend you to be pushed up the company ladder. Most will stay in their same roles for years on end without any opportunity, advancement or raises.
ECCO USA is not a company I'd recommend anybody to work for as they don't know how to treat employees well at all and it's an ever-revolving door of people being hired, fired or quitting all the time because of it.

    Advice to Management

Actually care about your employees and treat them as human beings with lives outside of the office and work environment. Have accountability for management's decisions instead of putting everything on your subordinates.

I have been working at ECCO Sko (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hourly and Commission, Friendly and outgoing team members and management, excellent product quality, great training

    Cons

Corporate puts too much pressure on store management. The hours are based on sales and management has no room to accomplish this. The pressure is constantly placed on them on a daily bases.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. The experience I have had with management is that they excel at teamwork with the brand ambassadors and always provide great tips and advice to help employees improve and accomplish goals.

    Pros

Encouraging manager, staff were given sales incentives such as 'Top Staff' in Ecco Ireland, staff discount available on shoes, training programmes

    Cons

The work as a sales assistant was sometimes dull and repetitive, we were required to buy and pay for our own ECCO brand shoes when we started working there

    Advice to Management

There could have been a few more events organised for staff and more communication and feedback between the staff, and senior management

    Pros

Not much to say here . Free pair of shoes when you start working. Benefits are cheap.

    Cons

They state that it is a 40 hour work week but it's not. They have a new computer system and when there is an issue they are always playing the blame game.

    Advice to Management

Before rolling out and new computer system you really should do some testing. Start hiring DM that can handle the job.
