I have been working at ECRS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with in your respective department, Senior leadership is very family oriented, work-life balance is great. Very flexible in schedules.

    Cons

Expected to take workload from departments that employ incompetent, lazy, people who have no care for customer service.

    Advice to Management

Hold all departments to the same standards, if one division of the company is expected to conform to policy...all divisions should!

I worked at ECRS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pays good for this area. Beautiful place to live. Good vacation package. Flexible when you have family emergency. Have quarterly employee meetings/parties and monthly news letters to keep employees in the know

    Cons

Upper management talks about promoting with in company but really just promotes family or hires upper management outside of area.

    Advice to Management

.Owner micro manages and needs to let his management team do their jobs or let them go. Pay according to work preformed

I worked at ECRS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Met some awesome people. Lots of opportunity to grow.

    Cons

Met some of the worst people.
Pretty low pay in comparison; does twice the work for the pay as is.
Very competitive environment where cliques are plentiful.
A lot of overlooked ignorance that would be considered unacceptable anywhere else.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the young people too; if you don't, you won't have anyone to bring new ideas in when the older people leave.

I have been working at ECRS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Extremely positive workplace. Negativity is not tolerated. Expect to work hard, but feel rewarded. Very family-oriented with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Overall management team is extremely competent and understanding.

    Cons

Extensive policy and rules, upper management is sometimes allowed to break these policy rules when others are not.

    Advice to Management

For the most part keep doing what you are doing. Be cognizant of the fact employees see when rules are bent for a few but not all.

I have been working at ECRS full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Great work environment
-Great for exposure to various technical concepts

    Cons

-Nepotism. Competency doesn't come into account in the choosing of some (not all) leadership.
-Pay and benefits are embarrassing given many less demanding tech jobs and industry standards.

    Advice to Management

ECRS is running a marathon, and at times, we're way out front in the lead, but at what cost? Our ankles are sore, our shoes are untied, and we're suffering from dehydration. Stop trying to trim the fat on costs that would benefit employees (lower than standard hourly pay, high deductible insurance) or else they'll find better opportunities.

    Pros

Very advanced thinking company. Develops great products to make our customers successful. Allows employees to have a say in the direction of the company. Management does not micro manage departments. Let's employees be creative and provide candid feedback.

    Cons

Boone, NC is a 2 hour drive to the nearest airport. Can be a hassle if you work out of the corporate office. Winters in Boone can be a little brutal.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing. Keep thinking about growth and the future. Keep your customers and employees first and foremost.

    Pros

One of the most rewarding aspects to working at ECRS is that your job and capacity to grown within the company is basically as you make it. If you come in ready to work, share ideas, and produce results you will be rewarded with both praise and opportunity. If you have something to say, you will be heard no matter your title. It's a very friendly open place with a definite emphasis on customers and "smart" growth.

    Cons

Beautiful location, but it is far from a major airport making it tough for bringing in customers and business clients.

    Advice to Management

Your employees respect you, the ECRS name, our customers, and the product. The growth is there and success will be long-lasting because decisions are made with intelligence, consideration, and input.

    Pros

A very flat organization allowing direct access to decision makers.
    New product pipeline is extensive
Great customers, some would say the best in the business.
The company will only sell quality products. No short cuts allowed
Steadfast commitment to customers, employees, products and markets.
The company could care less of who you are are where you came from, if you contribute you will be noticed and appreciated. You will be provided an equal chance for promotion, if that's what you want, but you can't fake it, you must contribute to get noticed.

    Cons

Complex product mix, not an easy business to manage
Resources can be tight, if you want to work for a wasteful dot com operation this is not the place for you.
We move at a steady upward pace, not a lot of hype just hard work

    Advice to Management

Keep focused on the customers and the basic fundamentals that got us here. Don't get greedy, keep the wall street types "far" away. Keep focusing on products and customers and don't fall into the traps that our competitors have fallen into, mainly short-term financial. Keep building!
