  1. "Horrible contract!"

I have been working at ECS Federal full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There have been no pros since ECS took over our contract.

    Cons

Someone from this company needs to take a good hard look at the turnover in Norman OK, NCED. How many employees have we lost since they took over? We have now lost 2 program managers, 2 managers and many instructors. This used to be a strong group of employees. There is a common denominator in the loss of 4 managers and that is the original program manager/vice president of the company, Tess Swatt. She has ran off some of the best people I have ever worked with. Its so sad and angering to watch.

    Advice to Management

REALIZE THE SOURCE OF YOUR PROBLEM AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. The postal service would be INSANE to renew this contract with all of the problems they have had with it. Not to mention losing valuable employees!!

I worked at ECS Federal full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The HR department is very responsive to questions you will have.

    Cons

No support. You will not speak to your manager unless you have done something "wrong". Vacation/sick/personal leave is all lumped into one. You earn 3.34 hours per paycheck,..roughly 10 days a year... Aka don't ever get sick.

There was no onboarding process, at all. Therefore, you will have plenty of questions throughout working there, that will need to be answered by HR as they occur.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees, maybe they will stay longer. Reconsider vacation/sick/personal leave.

Sense of family, great people, excellent pay, flexible working conditions, interesting work, adaptable.

    Cons

ECS is a quickly growing company, and with it comes some growing pains. Nothing is too crazy, just little things that can be frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Remain flexible, develop internship programs great pipeline for talent development during high growth periods.

I have been working at ECS Federal part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Supervisors and coworkers are friendly, competent, inclusive, and knowledgeable. The work environment is very positive. Training is more than adequate; you are well-prepared for the tasks required of you. I don't have much to say about ECS itself as I'm contracted out and have contact with only a few individuals from management.

    Cons

In my particular position, hours per week can vary greatly. Days are usually a full 8 hours, but depending on what is needed at the time you may work anywhere from only a few days a week to every weekday for months. This may work well for some people; it depends on what you want in a job.

    Pros

    - good health benefits, 401k
    -ECS newsletters
    - good holiday party and thanksgiving cards

    Cons

-compensation could be improved; there is a lack of transparency around the process.

    Advice to Management

    - increased transparency would be helpful. Make the staff they are part of ECS rather than a random government contractor
