I have been working at EDR full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They promote from within and your support network is strong. You can trust that if you make a mistake they will be there to help you and they are aware of the tough markets and do not punish you for what is out of your control but also do not abandon the property.

    Cons

There can be a lot of work so the work life balance can get out of hand if you aren't careful. Corporate has a few support teams that like to send out last minute work and expects that you get it done even if it is a weekend.

    Advice to Management

I would say to watch the amount of last minute, unplanned work you send down the ladder as we are the ones dealing with the customers first hand and also doing the behind the scenes work with families.

I worked at EDR part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Rent discounts were a major bonus.

    Cons

Minimum wage for college students and the hours were crazy. There's generally a quick employee turn around, and sometimes management can be really bureaucratic and disorganized.

I have been working at EDR full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've liked EDR, good company to get a start with, lots of room for growth. The upper level management seem level headed and not disconnected from the workers.

    Cons

Pay could be a little higher to start with, and I'm expected to carry a phone 24/7 which I'm not paid for.

I worked at EDR part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoyed being a CA for the Retreat. It was nice to be able to walk to work. The schedule always works around your class schedule. It is a great college-student job.

    Cons

Management had a high turnover rate and sometimes was very unorganized. There is a "bonus" set up for signing leases but management never explained well enough in my opinion for the CA's to work hard for the reward.
