I worked at EDUPOINT EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Mesa is a wonderful place to live

    Cons

Friday firings, constructive dismissals, no room to grow except out of the company

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees how you would want to be treated. As an employer, how would you like it if someone (or something) was constantly plotting against you to force your ultimate failure? That's what you do to a lot of your employees. A word of advice, just fire the people you don't like instead of making them so excruciatingly miserable that they're forced to quit.

I have been working at EDUPOINT EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The staff all have a good team mentality and strong work ethics. I like the support and dedication to the clients. The products they make are the best of breed hands down. The benefits are good for the size of the company.

    Cons

The management does not know how to grow the company. They have stunted themselves by not expanding staff and allowing the company to fully reach its potential. The management believes they have a good vision for the company, but they are either too scared or just plain don't know how to take the next steps to make this a huge company. The products would carry the company if they had enough staff to support the fast paced upward momentum they would have by letting go of the small company mentality. The promise of great things with a skeleton staff, even if they are some of the best in the industry is still going to be a tired, defeated and overworked set of talented individuals.
If you are just starting out in your career, this would be the place for you, otherwise, find a place who will truly value and pay for your out of the box creative mind. They have run off the big picture thinkers and natural leaders they have recruited in the past. Until the management wants to actually grow and not continually put out fires because of under-staffing, find a different place to hang your hat for 13 hours a day, including last minute weekend deadlines.

I have been working at EDUPOINT EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Edupoint is ambitious and strives for excellence in the educational technology field. There are some amazing modules and applications within their platform that make data management for School/district/students easy and effective and consistent. They are also a leader in integrating their product with mobile app development and state reporting.

    Cons

Edupoint is growing, and therefore there is some lapse in policy changes (policies are changed that affect pay without being notified regarding the policy first) which they are working to correct, and reviews are like pulling teeth from a crocodile each year when it is time for a review.

    Advice to Management

Consistency and clear policies, as well as timely reviews

    Pros

Great company to work for, it feels like a family. The development process is one of the better processes I've seen and other developers don't mind helping others out.

    Cons

Salary could be more competitive to other companies in the area. However, the work environment more than makes up for the salary.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing and making everyone feel as if their work actually matters to the end product.

I have been working at EDUPOINT EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS (More than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers and President are great people. Many benefits such as free food, paid time off during Christmas to New Year day break. Talented individuals

    Cons

Management styles vary with some inconsistencies. This is a company with many growing pains expecting staff to work long hours. Ego problems with some management level workers.

    Advice to Management

Be fair and treat everyone the same. Take a good look at some individuals within the company that have large egos with passive/aggressive behavior.
